Inleiding
Voormalig KOETSHUIS en TUINMUUR, behorende bij het pand Koningstraat 34 te Zaltbommel. Aan de straat grenzende tuinmuren met al dan niet een koetshuis zijn karakteristiek voor de binnenstad van Zaltbommel. Koetshuis en muur dateren vermoedelijk uit de bouwtijd van het huis, ca 1872.
Het koetshuis wordt thans gebruikt als garage/berging.
Omschrijving
Het bakstenen gebouw is opgetrokken op rechthoekige grondslag en telt één bouwlaag onder een met gesmoorde Hollandse pan gedekt zadeldak. De gevels zijn gepleisterd en voorzien van een blokverband.
De symmetrisch ingedeelde VOORGEVEL bevat op de begane grond in het midden een dubbele, licht getoogde deur, voorzien van glaspanelen achter roosters. De zolder heeft een halfrond afgesloten luik. De gevel heeft hoekpilasters, die als uitgemetselde band worden voortgezet langs de dakrand. Het dak steekt ver over en heeft een geprofileerde windveer met een onderrand met gezaagde versieringen.
De ACHTERGEVEL heeft een dichtgezette doorgang.
De symmetrisch ingedeelde LINKER ZIJGEVEL bevat in het midden een toegang met 3-ruits bovenlicht en links en rechts een 6-ruits venster. De gevel wordt afgesloten met een geprofileerde gootlijst.
De TUINMUUR is gepleisterd en heeft een afdekking met een rollaag waarop cement met glasscherven.

Voormalig koetshuis met tuinmuur uit ca 1872 in neoclassicistische stijl.

Former COACHHOUSE and GARDEN WALL, belonging to the property Koningstraat 34 in Zaltbommel. Garden walls bordering the street, with or without a coachhouse, are characteristic of the inner city of Zaltbommel. The coachhouse and wall date presumably from the construction period of the house, circa 1872.
The coachhouse is currently used as a garage/storage.
Description
The brick building is erected on a rectangular ground plan and comprises one storey under a gabled roof covered with muted Dutch tiles. The facades are rendered and provided with a block pattern.
The symmetrically arranged FRONT FACADE contains on the ground floor in the centre a double door with slight arch, provided with glass panels behind grilles. The attic has a semicircular closed hatch. The facade has corner pilasters, which are continued as raised bands along the roof edge. The roof projects far and has a moulded wind brace with an underside with sawn decorations.
The REAR FACADE has a blocked passage.
The symmetrically arranged LEFT SIDE FACADE contains in the centre an entrance with 3-glazed fanlight and to the left and right a 6-glazed window. The facade is finished with a moulded eaves line.
The GARDEN WALL is rendered and has a coping with a roll moulding on which cement with glass shards.

Former coachhouse with garden wall from circa 1872 in neoclassical style.
