The register's description

LANDHUIS gebouwd in 1911 met L-vormige plattegrond bestaande uit twee bouwlagen, een kelder en een zolder afgesloten door parallelle zadeldaken gedekt met maasleien tussen trapgevels. De regelmatig verdeelde dakkapellen bestaan uit een vierruits venster afgesloten door een overstekend aangekapt schilddak met tweezijdig eindschild. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in bruinrode baksteen in kruisverband. De houten kruisvensters worden afgesloten door korfbogen met terug gelegen gemetselde boogtrommel en natuurstnen aanzet, boog- en sluitstenen, en zijn voorzien van hardstenen lekdorpels. In de gevels zijn regelmatig verdeeld muurankers aangebracht. De trappartij bevindt zich in een vierkante traptoren in de achtergevel, afgesloten door een tentdak bekroond door een ui-vormige spits.

De VOORGEVEL bestaat uit acht vensterassen. Op de begane grond bevinden zich zeven kruisvensters en één ingangspartij in de vijfde as van links. De vensters bestaan uit twee acht-ruits onderramen met vier-ruits bovenlichten. De ingangspartij bestaat uit een dubbele korfboogvormige deur omsloten door natuursteen met schijnvoegen. Aan weerszijden van het ovaalvormig bovenlicht bevindt zich een natuurstenen pilaster afgesloten door een fronton. Op de verdieping bevinden zich acht kruisvensters bestaande uit zes-ruits onderramen en zes-ruits bovenlichten. In het dakvlak bevindt zich in de linker drie en de rechter twee assen steeds een dakkapel met negen-ruits raam. De overige assen eindigen in een trapgevel met in de geveltop twee kruisvensters met vier-ruits onderramen en vier-ruits bovenlichten. Op de nok van het achterliggende zadeldak bevinden zich twee schoorsteenschachten.

De LINKERZIJGEVEL bestaat uit een linker- en een rechtertravee die beide eindigen in een trapgevel. De linkertravee bestaat uit één vensteras met op de begane grond, de verdieping en de geveltop een kruisvenster als in de voorgevel. Op de begane grond zijn de kruisvensters aan weerszijden geflankeerd door luiken op de verdieping en in de trapgevel zijn alleen de onderramen aan weerszijden voorzien van luiken. De rechtertravee bestaat uit twee assen met op de begane grond twee kruisvensters als in de linkertravee. Op de verdieping bevindt zich links een enkel zes-ruits onderraam met zes-ruits bovenlicht aan één zijde geflankeerd door een luik. Rechts bevindt zich een kruisvenster als in de linkertravee. In de trapgevel bevinden zich twee kruisvensters als in de linkertravee met in de geveltop een vier-ruits raam met vier-ruits bovenlicht met aan één zijde van het onderraam een luik. In de terug gelegen gevel links van de linkerzijgevel bevindt zich op de begane grond en de verdieping twee kruisvensters. Uiterst links op de begane grond bevindt zich een zes-ruits raam, met links van het rechter kruisvenster een geklampte deur. In het dakvlak bevinden zich drie dakkapellen met vier-ruits raam.

De ACHTERGEVEL bestaat uit de risalerende travee met trapgevel en de terug gelegen travee met ingangspartij. In de risalerende travee bevindt zich op de verdieping een rondboog deur met in de trapgevel twee vensters. In de terug gelegen travee bevindt zich links de gevel van de traptoren gevolgd door een trapgevel en twee vensterassen. In de gevel van de traptoren bevindt zich op de begane gronddrie kleine vensters met diefijzer, waarvan het linker met bovenlicht. Rechts tussen de verdiepingen bevindt zich een kruisvenster. Links op de verdieping een vier-ruits onderraam met vier-ruits bovenlicht. Rechts halverwege de verdiepingen een kruisvenster met links een zes-ruits raam. Bovenaan in de gevel bevinden zich drie zes-ruits ramen. In het dakvlak bevindt zich een dakkapel. In de trapgevel bevindt zich op de begane grond en de verdieping twee kruisvensters met in de trapgevel één kruisvenster. De gevel eindigt in een trapgevel met achterliggend, aangekapt zadeldak. Rechts in de gevel bevindt zich de ingangspartij omsloten door natuursteen bestaande uit pilasters en een fronton. Uiterst rechts bevindt zich een kruisvenster. Op de verdieping bevinden zich twee kruisvensters met in het dakvlak twee dakkapellen.

In de RECHTERZIJGEVEL bevindt zich op de begane grond, de verdieping en in het dakvlak regelmatig verdeelde kruisvensters en dakkapellen als in de voorgevel.

Het INTERIEUR bevindt zich grotendeels in een oorspronkelijke staat met onder meer schoorsteenmantels, stucplafonds, geprofileerde trappartij en sjabloonschilderingen.

Waardering

LANDHUIS gebouwd in 1911 als hoofdobject van het COMPLEX `De Lathmer' naar ontwerp van de Gebr. M.A. VAN NIEUKERKEN en J. VAN NIEUKERKEN in opdracht van C. Crommelin.

- Van architectuurhistorische waarde als goed voorbeeld van een landhuis in `Hollandse stijl' uit 1911 in neo-renaissance uit het oeuvre van de Gebr. van Nieukerken met gaaf in -en exterieur.

COUNTRY HOUSE built in 1911 with L-shaped floor plan consisting of two storeys, a basement and an attic enclosed by parallel gabled roofs covered with Maas slate between stepped gables. The windows consist of two eight-pane lower sashes with four-pane fanlights. The entrance consists of a double segmental arched door enclosed by natural stone with simulated joints. On either side of the oval-shaped fanlight there is a natural stone pilaster ending in a pediment. On the first floor there are eight cross windows consisting of six-pane lower sashes and six-pane fanlights. In the roof plane there is in the left three and the right two bays respectively a roof dormer with nine-pane window. The remaining bays end in a stepped gable with in the gable top two cross windows with four-pane lower sashes and four-pane fanlights. On the ridge of the rear gabled roof there are two chimney shafts.

The LEFT SIDE FACADE consists of a left and a right bay both ending in a stepped gable. The left bay consists of one window bay with on the ground floor, the first floor and the gable top a cross window as in the front facade. On the ground floor the cross windows are flanked on either side by shutters on the first floor and in the stepped gable only the lower sashes are provided with shutters on either side. The right bay consists of two bays with on the ground floor two cross windows as in the left bay. On the first floor there is on the left a single six-pane lower sash with six-pane fanlight flanked on one side by a shutter. On the right there is a cross window as in the left bay. In the stepped gable there are two cross windows as in the left bay with in the gable top a four-pane window with four-pane fanlight with a shutter on one side of the lower sash. In the recessed facade to the left of the left side facade there are on the ground floor and the first floor two cross windows. At the far left on the ground floor there is a six-pane window, with a clamped door to the left of the right cross window. In the roof plane there are three roof dormers with four-pane windows.

The REAR FACADE consists of the projecting bay with stepped gable and the recessed bay with entrance. In the projecting bay there is on the first floor a round-arched door with in the stepped gable two windows. In the recessed bay there is on the left the facade of the stair tower followed by a stepped gable and two window bays. In the facade of the stair tower there are on the ground floor three small windows with iron bars, the left one with fanlight. On the right between the storeys there is a cross window. On the left on the first floor a four-pane lower sash with four-pane fanlight. On the right halfway between the storeys a cross window with on the left a six-pane window. At the top of the facade there are three six-pane windows. In the roof plane there is a roof dormer. In the stepped gable there are on the ground floor and the first floor two cross windows with in the stepped gable one cross window. The facade ends in a stepped gable with rear-lying, attached gabled roof. On the right in the facade there is the entrance enclosed by natural stone consisting of pilasters and a pediment. At the far right there is a cross window. On the first floor there are two cross windows with in the roof plane two roof dormers.

In the RIGHT SIDE FACADE there are on the ground floor, the first floor and in the roof plane regularly distributed cross windows and roof dormers as in the front facade.

The INTERIOR is for the most part in an original state with among other things fireplace surrounds, stucco ceilings, moulded staircase and stencil paintings.

COUNTRY HOUSE built in 1911 as main object of the COMPLEX 'De Lathmer' designed by the Brothers M.A. VAN NIEUKERKEN and J. VAN NIEUKERKEN on behalf of C. Crommelin.
