Omschrijving
Permanente VELDOVEN, bestaande uit twee in vuurvaste steen opgetrokken en in kruisverband gemetselde evenwijdige muren. De afstand tussen de twee muren bedraagt ca. 14 meter. De lengte van de muren bedraagt ca. 27 meter. Tussen de muren is een niet oorspronkelijke kapconstructie aangebracht. Eén open zijde is dichtgezet. In de dikke muren bevinden zich stookgaten met een segmentboogvormige afsluiting; elf stuks in beide muren en recht tegenover elkaar. Aan de buitenzijden van de muren bevinden zich niet oorspronkelijke bedrijfsruimten onder lessenaardak met golfplaten.

Permanente VELDOVEN uit het laatste kwart van de 19de eeuw.
- Van architectuurhistorische waarde als typologisch goed en herkenbaar bewaard gebleven voorbeeld van een permanente veldoven met twee evenwijdige muren. Het object heeft zeldzaamheidswaarde omdat in Nederland slechts ca. 12 vergelijkbare exemplaren zijn behouden. Het object wordt gekenmerkt door een uiterst functionele opzet.
- Van stedenbouwkundige waarde als essentieel onderdeel van het markant in het Gelderse rivierengebied gesitueerde fabriekscomplex "De Bunswaard".
- Van cultuurhistorische waarde vanwege de karakteristieke verschijningsvorm van deze permanente veldoven voor het periodiek stoken van bakstenen. Het object is van uitzonderlijk belang als zeldzame uitdrukking, in casu een veldoven, van de voor deze regio sedert het midden van de 19de eeuw zeer belangrijke nijverheid van de baksteenfabricage.

Description
Permanent FIELD KILN, consisting of two parallel walls constructed in refractory brick and laid in Flemish bond. The distance between the two walls is approximately 14 metres. The length of the walls is approximately 27 metres. Between the walls a non-original roof truss structure has been installed. One open side is sealed. In the thick walls there are stoking holes with a segmental arch closure; eleven in each wall and directly opposite each other. On the outer sides of the walls there are non-original workshop spaces under a lean-to roof with corrugated sheets.
Significance Assessment
Permanent FIELD KILN from the last quarter of the 19th century.
- Of architectural-historical value as a typologically sound and recognizable preserved example of a permanent field kiln with two parallel walls. The object has rarity value as only approximately 12 comparable examples have been preserved in the Netherlands. The object is characterized by an extremely functional design.
