Inleiding
De PAARDENSTAL bij Huis HET ONSTEIN is gebouwd in het derde kwart van de 19de eeuw en vertoont gotiserende elementen zoals spitsboogramen met vorktracering.
De stal behoort tot de historische buitenplaats Het Onstein en is gelegen rechts van Huis Het Onstein aan het einde van een laantje dat voor het voorplein van Het Onstein langs loopt.
Omschrijving
De PAARDENSTAL heeft op een rechthoekig grondplan één bouwlaag en een zolder onder een zadeldak met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen en windveren.
De gevels zijn opgetrokken uit rode baksteen, gemetseld in kruisverband en voorzien van een gecementeerde plint, vlechtingen en smeedijzeren staafankers.
De symmetrisch ingedeelde VOORGEVEL heeft in het midden een houten deur in een kozijn op hardstenen neuten. Boven de bovendorpel bevindt zich een spitsboogvormig tienruits gietijzeren bovenlicht met vorktracering. De deur wordt aan beide zijden geflankeerd door een venster met dezelfde vormgeving als het bovenlicht. In de top van de gevel bevindt zich een rond venster dat is gevuld met een houten plaat met snijwerk in hoogreliëf in de vorm van vier harten rondom een ruit.
De ZIJGEVELS zijn op dezelfde wijze vorm gegeven. De zijgevels hebben ieder drie segmentboogvormig afgesloten staldeuren. De deuren zijn deels tweedelig. Tussen de achterste twee bevindt zich een getoogd zesruits gietijzeren stalraam.
De ACHTERGEVEL is blind.
In het INTERIEUR is de gebintconstructie bewaard gebleven.

The HORSE STABLE at House HET ONSTEIN was built in the third quarter of the 19th century and displays gothicising elements such as pointed arch windows with fork tracery.

Description
The HORSE STABLE has a rectangular ground plan, one storey and an attic under a gabled roof with Dutch curved tiles and wind vanes.
The facades are constructed of red brick, laid in English bond and provided with a cemented plinth, plinth courses and wrought-iron wall anchors.
The symmetrically arranged FRONT FACADE has in the middle a wooden door in a frame on hardstone sill stones. Above the upper threshold is a pointed arch-shaped ten-light cast-iron fanlight with fork tracery. The door is flanked on both sides by a window with the same design as the fanlight. In the top of the facade is a round window filled with a wooden panel with relief carving in high relief in the form of four hearts around a diamond.
The SIDE FACADES are designed in the same manner. The side facades each have three segmental arch-shaped stable doors. The doors are partly in two parts. Between the rear two is an arched six-light cast-iron stable window.
