Inleiding
Vroeg twintigste-eeuwse WINKELWONING (ca. 1905) met de stilistische kenmerken van de Art Nouveau. De winkel met bovenwoning maakt deel uit van een gesloten gevelwand, die onderdeel is van het beschermde stadsgezicht van Dordrecht. Het inwendige van het pand en de achterzijde zijn niet meer in oorspronkelijke staat.
Omschrijving
De winkelwoning is twee en een halve bouwlaag hoog en opgetrokken in baksteen, met een voorgevel in verblendsteen, geglazuurde baksteen en terugliggende velden van gepleisterde baksteen. Het pand wordt door een met Hollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak afgesloten.
De symmetrische voorgevel heeft een tussen verblendstenen hoekpenanten staande, uit hout en glas samengestelde in blauwe tinten geschilderde pui, die geen dragende functie heeft. De sierlijke, transparante pui bevat tussen geprofileerde posten met hardstenen of aangesmeerde neuten staande, openslaande deuren met panelen en glas tussen gebogen traceringen en een gewelfde bovenkant die aansluit op een geprofileerd, over de gehele breedte van de pui doorgetrokken kalf. De vensters aan weerszijden sluiten volledig aan op de deuren en vormen er een eenheid mee, evenals de bovenlichten met opaak glas. De verdieping bevat twee, tussen geglazuurde neggen met kraalprofiel staande vensters met gedeelde bovenlichten boven een gewelfde wisseldorpel. De gewelfde bovenlichten staan achter kleine, houten zonweringen. De vensters staan onder zich naar buiten toe verjongende segmentbogen van schone verblendsteen en een deels gepleisterde overspanningsboog, die is verbonden met het venster van de zolderverdieping. Het betreft een rondboogvenster met gewelfde wisseldorpel, aan weerszijden een decoratief opgevatte attiek en erboven een topgeveltje met geprofileerde deklijst en driekwart-ronde bekroning.

Description
The shop with dwelling is two and a half storeys high and built in brick, with a front facade in facing brick, glazed brick and recessed fields of rendered brick. The building is terminated by a saddle roof covered with Dutch tiles.
The symmetrical front facade has a shop front composed of wood and glass, painted in blue tones, standing between facing brick corner posts, which has no load-bearing function. The elegant, transparent shop front contains, between profiled posts with hard stone or rendered plinths, hinged doors with panels and glass between curved traceries and a vaulted top which connects to a profiled calf running across the full width of the shop front. The windows on either side connect entirely with the doors and form a unity with them, as do the fanlights with opaque glass. The first storey contains two windows, standing between glazed recesses with bead moulding, with divided fanlights above a vaulted corner stone. The vaulted fanlights are behind small wooden sun-blinds. The windows stand under segmental arches of fair facing brick, widening outward, and a partly rendered spanning arch which is connected with the window of the attic storey. It is a round-arch window with vaulted corner stone, on either side a decoratively designed attic, and above it a gable topped with profiled drip moulding and three-quarter round coping.
