Inleiding
De Oudershoeve is een LANGHUISBOERDERIJ uit 1885. Achter de boerderij staan een aantal schuren en een hooiberg. Een sloot steekt vanaf het water het dorp in langs de boerderij. De Oudershoeve was dan ook een vaarboerderij, waarvan het bijbehorende land in de polder lag.
Omschrijving
De boerderij is in rode baksteen over één bouwlaag opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond, onder een zadeldak met gesmoorde pannen, windveren, makelaars en houten goten op klampen. De gevels zijn opgetrokken boven een gepleisterde plint. Houten kozijnen in de vensters van het voorhuis, ijzeren stalvensters.
Centraal in de symmetrische voorgevel (noordwest) bevindt zich de houten voordeur onder een bovenlicht. Aan weerszijden rechtgesloten vensters met tweedelige bovenlichten. Hanekammen met gepleisterde aanzet- en sluitstenen boven de deur en de vensters. De sluitstenen zijn geornamenteerd en beschilderd. In de topgevel een samengesteld venster bestaande uit een vierruits venster met tweeruits zijlichten, onder rondboogvormige bovenlichten met in het midden een radiale roedenverdeling. Rond de bovenlichten blokken van gele baksteen.
Waardering
De langhuisboerderij is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een vaarboerderij, waarvan het land in de polder lag.
De boerderij is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als exemplarisch voorbeeld van de typisch Zuid-Hollandse langhuisboerderij en vanwege de rijke detaillering.
In stedebouwkundig opzicht is de boerderij van algemeen belang dankzij de beeldbepalende ligging aan de Dorpsstraat en het water en vanwege de functionele en ruimtelijke samenhang met de bijgebouwen.
