Inleiding
KOOIMAST, gebruikt als elektriciteits-verdeelpaal, alsmede als lantaarnpaal. De kooimast is gesitueerd aan de samenkomst van Welhoeksedijk, Albrandswaardsedijk en Kijvelandsedijk en is waarschijnlijk in de jaren '20 van de twintigste eeuw geplaatst. De paal is niet of nauwelijks gewijzigd, en heeft niet meer de oorspronkelijke functie sinds de aanleg van een ondergronds elektriciteitsnetwerk. De mast wordt gekenmerkt door een sobere en funktionele vormgeving.
Omschrijving
Gietijzeren kooimast, opgebouwd uit vier onderling verbonden, taps toelopende staanders met vakwerk, die een open trommel (kooi) dragen. Aan de kooi bevinden zich de isolatoren voor de verschillende aftakkingen. Hieraan werden de electriciteitskabels bevestigd. Onder de kooi is een straatlamp opgehangen aan een ijzeren arm haaks op de mast. Aan de voet van de mast is een metalen verdeelkast met tendak geplaatst.

Description
Cast-iron coolie mast, built up from four mutually connected, tapering uprights with bracing, which carry an open drum (coolie). On the coolie the insulators for the various branches are located. The electricity cables were attached to these. Under the coolie a street lamp is hung on an iron arm perpendicular to the mast. At the foot of the mast a metal distribution box with awning roof is placed.
