Inleiding
Vaste VOETGANGERSBRUG gelegen over een brede sloot tussen de Korte Laning en het Laningpad nabij de Algemene Begraafplaats. De uit smeed- en gietijzeren delen samengestelde brug is in 1864 geconstrueerd door de firma F.J. Penn & Comp. uit Dordrecht. De brug heeft voor de bouwtijd karakteristieke details en stijlkenmerken van het Eclecticisme.
Omschrijving
De voetgangersbrug heeft een doorgang die wordt overspannen door gebogen liggers van opengewerkt gietijzer, die verbonden zijn met de vernieuwde, gewelfde betonnen brughoofden waarvan één een hardstenen gevelsteen bevat. De liggers zijn in het midden, waar de hoogte ervan het kleinst is, versierd met decoratief ajourwerk en een vermelding van het bouwjaar en naam van de leverancier. Fixed FOOTBRIDGE situated over a wide ditch between the Korte Laning and the Laningpad near the General Cemetery.
