Omschrijving
DWARSHUISBOERDERIJ bestaande uit een VOORHUIS en SCHUUR, gebouwd in 1898 in een Eclectische stijl met enkele classicistische motieven.
Het anderhalf verdiepingen hoge, geheel onderkelderde, symmetrische VOORHUIS, op nagenoeg rechthoekige plattegrond, is opgetrokken in roodbruine baksteen op een hardstenen trasraam en wordt gedekt door een schilddak waarop zwart geglazuurde platte Friese pannen; houten kroonlijst. De gevels worden geleed door gemetselde hoekpilasters en getoogde H- en zaadvensters onder segmentboog.
In het uitgebouwde middenrisaliet onder zadeldak aan de voorzijde (oostgevel) twee H-vensters met aan weerszijden een gepleisterde pilaster en aan de onderzijde een gepleisterde gebosseerde borstweringplaat. Onder de vensters twee getoogde keldervensters. Boven de vensters een houten balkon rustend op consoles (balustrade ontbreekt) waarachter een niet-originele balkondeur tussen gepleisterde pilasters met gepleisterd driehoekig fronton. In de beide zijgevels van het middenrisaliet een smal H-venster waarboven een zaadvenster. Aan weerszijden van het middenrisaliet twee H-vensters waarboven twee zaadvensters.
In de zuidgevel drie H-vensters waaronder drie keldervensters en waarboven drie zaadvensters.
De schuur is aan de achterzijde (westgevel) aangebouwd.
De entree in segmentboogvormig portiek bevindt zich rechts in de noordgevel en bestaat uit een houten paneeldeur met ijzeren rooster en getoogd bovenlicht waarvoor een drie treden hoge stoep. De portiek wordt omlijst met houten pilasters en kroonlijst. Links van de portiek twee H-vensters, waaronder twee getoogde keldervensters en waarboven drie zaadvensters.
Het INTERIEUR komt wegens verbouw niet voor bescherming in aanmerking.
De SCHUUR is opgetrokken in roodbruine baksteen en wordt gedekt door een zadeldak met wolfeind waarop niet-originele golfplaten; achterzijde niet-originele windveren; niet-originele goten; noordgevel deels aangesmeerd fries.
De zuidgevel, die opnieuw is opgemetseld, heeft twee krimpen. Aan de rechterzijde van de eerste krimp een smal H-venster onder strek.
In de achtergevel (westzijde), die opnieuw is opgemetseld, niet-originele deeldeuren, dubbele opgeklampte houten schuurdeuren met ijzeren gehengen onder een ijzeren latei (I-profiel) en een dichtgezet getoogd venster.
In de noordgevel een opgeklampte houten deur met venster en tweeruits bovenlicht onder een segmentboog en twee staande zesruits vensters. Aan de linkerzijde van de krimp een staand zesruits venster onder strek. Aan de voorzijde van de krimp zeven getoogde stalvensters onder rollaag met decoratieve ijzeren roedenverdeling en een opgeklampte houten schuurdeur.

Dwarshuisboerderij van algemeen belang vanwege architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde:

CROSS-PASSAGE FARMHOUSE consisting of a DWELLING and BARN, built in 1898 in an Eclectic style with some classical motifs.
The one-and-a-half storey high, fully cellared, symmetrical DWELLING, on an almost rectangular plan, is built in reddish-brown brick on a hard stone stone foundation and is covered by a hipped roof on which black glazed flat Friesian tiles are laid; wooden cornice. The facades are articulated by brick corner pilasters and arched H- and sash windows under segmental arch.
In the extended central projection under gabled roof on the front (east facade) two H-windows with on either side a plastered pilaster and at the bottom a plastered rusticated breast-plate. Below the windows two arched cellar windows. Above the windows a wooden balcony resting on consoles (balustrade is missing) behind which a non-original balcony door between plastered pilasters with plastered triangular pediment. In both side facades of the central projection a narrow H-window above which a sash window. On either side of the central projection two H-windows above which two sash windows.
In the south facade three H-windows below which three cellar windows and above which three sash windows.
The barn is attached to the rear (west facade).
The entrance in a segmental arch-shaped portico is located on the right in the north facade and consists of a wooden panel door with iron grille and arched fanlight in front of which is a three-step high stoop. The portico is framed with wooden pilasters and cornice. To the left of the portico two H-windows, below which two arched cellar windows and above which three sash windows.
The INTERIOR does not qualify for protection because of alteration.
The BARN is built in reddish-brown brick and is covered by a gabled roof with half-hipped end on which non-original corrugated sheets are laid; rear side non-original gable boards; non-original gutters; north facade partly rendered frieze.
The south facade, which has been repointed, has two half-hipped roof additions. On the right side of the first addition a narrow H-window under straight course.
In the rear facade (west side), which has been repointed, non-original part doors, double clamped wooden barn doors with iron hinges under an iron lintel (I-profile) and a blocked arched window.
In the north facade a clamped wooden door with window and two-light fanlight under a segmental arch and two tall six-light windows. On the left side of the addition a tall six-light window under straight course. On the front of the addition seven arched cattle windows under drip moulding with decorative iron glazing bars and a clamped wooden barn door.
