Inleiding
Het Dubbel WOONHUIS is gelegen in de gesloten straatwand van de Grote Kerkstraat, tegenover de Kathedraal van St. Christoffel.
De panden zijn gebouwd in 1887 in Eclecticistische stijl. Pand nr 11 heeft een niet-orgineel inpandig balkon. De hekwerken van pand nr. 11 zijn vervangen.
Omschrijving
Het dubbele WOONHUIS heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond in twee bouwlagen onder een schilddak met muldenpannen en een overstekende goot op houten consoles. De panden hebben een gespiegelde gevelindeling en bestaan elk uit drie traveeën, waarvan de middelste van elk pand risaleert en de entree bevat.
De panden hebben een hardsteen plint en een optrek in kruisverband met opliggende voeg. In de gevel bevinden zich rechthoekige dubbele houten vensterkozijnen met geprofileerde stijl en dubbel bovenlicht. Deze worden door een speklaag van de vensters gescheiden. De vensters in de eerste laag bevinden zich in een segmentboogvormige lijst en in de tweede laag in een rondboogvormige lijst, beide met profielsteen en aanzet- en sluitsteen met vrouwen- of mannenhoofd. Verder vlechtingen in de vulstukken, cordonlijsten met tegelranden, speklagen en decoratieve muurankers. Tussen de consoles onder de goot bevinden zich verdiepte nissen met vlechtwerk en een klein venster met dubbele houten luiken. In de risaliet bevindt zich de verdiept gelegen entree met hardsteen dorpel en eerste treden van stalen trap. De entree heeft oorspronkelijk een dubbele houten segmentboogvormige paneeldeur met figuurglas, hekwerk en brievenbus. Achter de trap bevindt zich een souterrainvenster.
Boven de deur bevindt zich een geprofileerde latei onder een rond raam met glas-in-lood en hekwerk. Het linker pand heeft twee consoles met stucwerk onder een hardstenen balkon met decoratief smeedijzeren hekwerk. Het rechter pand heeft twee niet originele metalen consoles en een niet orgineel hekwerk.
Achter de balkons bevinden zich dubbele deuren. In de topgevel boven de balkons zijn twee cartouches met "Anno" en "1887" en twee kleine vierkante vensters en op de nok een naald.
In de derde en vierde travee bevinden zich twee souterrainvensters met bovenlicht en figuurglas met hekwerk en een geprofileerde pilaster tussen twee vensters, aanzet- en sluitstenen. De sluitstenen met mannen- en vrouwenhoofd is de aanzet tot een console onder de vensterbank als waterslag en hebben een houten luik met beslag onder de goot.
De STRUCTUUR van het INTERIEUR van de panden is in tact. WAARDEVOLLE INTERIEURONDERDELEN zijn onder meer de marmeren haarden en de trappenhuizen.

The double DWELLING HOUSE has a rectangular floor plan in two storeys under a hipped roof with curved roof tiles and an overhanging gutter on wooden consoles. The buildings have a mirrored facade arrangement and each consists of three bays, of which the central bay of each building projects forward and contains the entrance.
The buildings have a hardstone plinth and a facing in English bond with recessed mortar joints. In the facade are rectangular double wooden window frames with profiled mullions and double fanlights. These are separated by a stone band of the windows. The windows in the first storey are in a segmental arch-shaped panel and in the second storey in a round arch-shaped panel, both with ashlar and springer and keystone stones with female or male heads. Furthermore interlaced patterns in the fill pieces, cord mouldings with tile borders, stone bands and ornamental wall anchors. Between the consoles under the gutter are recessed niches with interlaced patterns and a small window with double wooden shutters. In the projecting bay is the recessed entrance with hardstone threshold and first steps of a steel staircase. The entrance originally has a double wooden segmental arch-shaped panelled door with figured glass, railings and letterbox. Behind the staircase is a basement window.
Above the door is a profiled lintel under a round window with leaded glass and railings. The left building has two consoles with stucco under a hardstone balcony with decorative wrought-iron railings. The right building has two non-original metal consoles and non-original railings.
Behind the balconies are double doors. In the stepped gable above the balconies are two cartouches with "Anno" and "1887" and two small square windows and on the ridge a spire.
In the third and fourth bays are two basement windows with fanlight and figured glass with railings and a profiled pilaster between two windows, springer and keystone stones. The keystones with male and female heads form the start of a console under the windowsill as a drip moulding and have a wooden shutter with fittings under the gutter.
