Inleiding
LANDARBEIDERSWONING van het type griendwerkerskeet, omstreeks 1900 opgetrokken in een streek-eigen bouwtrant. Het object is gelegen op een dichtbegroeide zandplaat in de meest westelijke punt van de Biesbosch tussen de Nieuwe Merwede en het Noordergat van de Vissen.
Omschrijving
Geheel vrijstaande keet van één bouwlaag op rechthoekige grondslag met gepotdekselde houten wanden onder een met riet gedekt zadeldak. Het rietdak heeft bij de topgevels een klein overstek. Gebakken nokvorsten en een gemetselde schoorsteen in het midden. De planken van de wanden zijn zwart geteerd. In de zuidelijke gevel zijn twee recht gesloten, opgeklampte deuren aangebracht. Elk van deze deuren heeft aan de zijkant een rechthoekig venster met opgeklampt vensterluik. In de westelijke gevel is in de top een houten luik aangebracht. De keet is intern in twee symmetrische, rechthoekige ruimten verdeeld. Deze hebben een centrale stookplaats tegen de afscheidingswand.
Waardering
De keet is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaaleconomische en landschappelijke ontwikkeling van de griendwerkerscultuur in de Biesbosch. Verder is het object van belang vanwege de typologische zeldzaamheid die het als houten griendwerkerskeet bezit. De keet heeft ensemblewaarden vanwege de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met de aanwezige groenvoorzieningen en waterwegen. Het object is gaaf bewaard gebleven en zeldzaam.

LANDLABOURER'S COTTAGE of the type osier-worker's hut, constructed around 1900 in a regional building style. The object is situated on a densely overgrown sandy plot at the most westerly point of the Biesbosch between the Nieuwe Merwede and the Noordergat van de Vissen.
Description
Completely detached hut of one storey on a rectangular ground plan with potsherd-tiled wooden walls under a gabled roof thatched with reed. The reed roof has a small overhang at the gable ends. Fired roof ridges and a brick chimney in the centre. The planks of the walls are tarred black. In the southern gable are two firmly fastened, closed doors. Each of these doors has a rectangular window at the side with a firmly fastened shutter. In the western gable at the apex is a wooden shutter. The hut is internally divided into two symmetrical, rectangular rooms. These have a central fireplace against the partition wall.
Assessment
The hut is of general interest. The object has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of the socio-economic and landscape development of osier-worker culture in the Biesbosch. Furthermore, the object is important because of the typological rarity it possesses as a wooden osier-worker's hut.
