Inleiding
Het HEILIG HARTBEELD is rond 1925 geplaatst in een plantsoen naast de kerk, tegenover de pastorie. Het beeld is een ontwerp van J. Dechin.
Omschrijving
Het beeld staat op een gelede, taps toelopende sokkel van hardsteen. Hier om heen staan acht hardstenen paaltjes met afschuiningen naar de piramidevormige top. Deze dragen nog restanten van de bewerkte sierschakels die het beeld afschermden.
Op de voorzijde van de sokkel staat: Wintelre aan Zijn Koning Christus. De zijden hebben een bladmotief in reliëf en aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een kruis. Het beeld staat op een halfrond voetstuk, beide van brons. Aan de achterzijde is de naam J. Dechin meegegoten. Aan de voorzijde van het voetstuk bevindt zich een kelk met lijdenswerktuigen en de doornenkroon als krans rond de kelk. De Christusfiguur staat met uitgespeide armen in een omarmende houding, met op de borst het brandend Heilig Hart. Achter op het hoofd is een stralenkrans bevestigd. Voor het beeld staan twee dwarsgeplaatste stenen beelden van leewen in liggende houding. De beelden zijn wit geschilderd, de voetplaat grijs. Deze vrijwel levensgroot uitgebeelde leeuwen corresponderen met de zittende kleine leeuwen bij het hekwerk van de pastorie er tegenover. Rechts en links achter het Christusbeeld staan grote coniferen. Recht achter het beeld staat een beuk.
Waardering
Het Heilig Hartbeeld met de leeuwen en beplanting is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van de H. Hartdevotie in het interbellum. Het heeft kunsthistorisch belang door de stijl en de detaillering en is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van het oeuvre van het atelier Dechin. Het heeft ensemblewaarden vanwege de bijzondere situering, verbonden met de ontwikkeling van het kerkdorp. Description
The statue stands on a stepped, tapering sandstone base. Around this stand eight sandstone posts with bevels towards the pyramid-shaped top. These still carry remains of the worked decorative shackles which screened the statue.
On the front of the base it reads: Wintelre to His King Christ. The sides have a leaf motif in relief and on the back there is a cross. The statue stands on a hemispherical plinth, both of bronze. On the back side the name J. Dechin is cast in. On the front of the plinth there is a chalice with instruments of the Passion and the crown of thorns as a wreath around the chalice. The Christ figure stands with outstretched arms in an embracing posture, with the burning Sacred Heart on the chest. Behind on the head a halo is attached. In front of the statue stand two transversely placed stone figures of lions in reclining position. The figures are painted white, the base plate grey. These almost life-size depicted lions correspond with the sitting small lions at the railings of the rectory opposite. Large conifers stand to the right and left behind the Christ statue. Directly behind the statue stands a beech.

The Sacred Heart statue with the lions and planting is of general importance.
