Inleiding
De R.K. begraafplaats van Boxmeer, bestaande uit de aanleg en de onder de overige complexonderdelen beschreven onderdelen.
Omschrijving
De begraafplaats bestaat uit een rechthoekig perceel met de korte zijde aan de Begijnestraat. Het grafveld is ommuurd door middel van bakstenen muren met daarin nissen, kruiswegstaties en plaquettes. Die laatste hebben de volgende opschriften: 'Memento mori' (en een doodshoofd); 'IHS Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine RIP'; 'Dat de geloovige zielen rusten in vrede. Amen'.
Langs de Begijnestraat en de Carmelietenstraat West bevinden zich direct buiten de ommuring leilinden.
De begraafplaats is toegankelijk via een poort, gemarkeerd door hekpijlers met lisenen, aan de Begijnestraat. Vanaf deze poort voert een middenpad, onderbroken door drie 'rondelen' (ronde vakken met graven en groen) naar een modern kruis tegen de achtermuur.
Aan beide zijden van het middenpad telkens één evenwijdig pad in de lengeterichting. Tussen de drie paden liggen de graftekens in de breedterichting van de begraafplaats. Aan weerszijden van deze middenzone een brede strook met graven in de lengterichting.
Waardering
De R.K. begraafplaats van Boxmeer is van algemeen belang vanwege:
- de symmetrische aanleg met middenpaden en rondelen;
- de ommuring met diverse plaquettes en staties, de poort en de leilindne;
- de plaats in de historie van de negentiende en vroeg twintigste-eeuwse grafcultuur in Nederland;

The cemetery consists of a rectangular plot with the short side on the Begijnestraat. The burial ground is enclosed by brick walls with niches, Stations of the Cross and plaques. The latter have the following inscriptions: 'Memento mori' (and a skull); 'IHS Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine RIP'; 'May the faithful souls rest in peace. Amen'.
Along the Begijnestraat and the Carmelietenstraat West, linden trees are situated directly outside the enclosure.
