Inleiding
Tussen Nieuwe Zijds Voorburgwal en Spuistraat in 1931-32 tot stand gekomen KANTOORGEBOUW met CONCIERGEWONING naar een ontwerp in Kubistisch-Expressionistische trant van F.A. Warners in opdracht van de N.V. Amsterdamsche Maatschappij tot Exploitatie van Etagewoningen.
Omschrijving
Op een vierkante plattegrond tot stand gekomen kantoorgebouw bestaande uit 10 bouwlagen onder een plat dak. De bakstenen gevels hangen in een skelet van gewapend beton.
Voorgevel Nieuwe Zijds Voorburgwal. Begane grondverdieping van natuursteen met verdiept geplaatste vensteropeningen achter ijzeren traliewerk. Ingang ter linkerzijde onder een luifel. De smalle ingangstravee wordt verticaal geleed door de driezijdige stalen erkeropbouw waarin de lift is geplaatst. Stalen vensterstroken over de gehele breedte van de gevel. De bakstenen muurvlakken tussen de vensterstroken zijn voorzien van siermetselwerk. De terugwijkende bovenste verdieping is eveneens voorzien van siermetselwerk. Achtergevel aan Spuistraat heeft acht bouwlagen en twee terugwijkende verdiepingen. Eveneens stalen vensterstroken. Geheel rechts over eerste en tweede verdieping ronde erker. Daarboven over alle verdiepingen uitkragende ronde balkons met ijzeren leuning. Rechts naast de balkontravee een smalle terugwijkende travee met een verticale vensterstrook. Achter de balkons een hoog boven de goothoogte uitkragend smal bouwlichaam met luifel.

Description
An office building created on a square ground plan consisting of 10 storeys under a flat roof. The brick facades hang in a skeleton of reinforced concrete.
Front facade on Nieuwe Zijds Voorburgwal. Ground floor of natural stone with recessed window openings behind iron grillwork. Entrance on the left side beneath a canopy. The narrow entrance bay is vertically articulated by the three-sided steel bay structure in which the lift is placed. Steel window strips across the full width of the facade. The brick wall planes between the window strips are provided with ornamental brickwork. The set-back upper storey is likewise provided with ornamental brickwork. Rear facade on Spuistraat has eight storeys and two set-back upper floors. Likewise steel window strips. Far right over the first and second floors a round bay.
