Inleiding
In 1925 als gevolg van een verbouwing tot stand gekomen vaste PLAAT- of BALKBRUG met drie doorvaarten naar een ontwerp uit 1923 van P.L. Kramer in Amsterdamse School-stijl, in opdracht van de afdeling Bruggen van de toenmalige dienst der Publieke Werken in de gemeente Amsterdam. De brug (brugnummer 63) ligt over de Prinsengracht en verbindt de Westermarkt met de Rozengracht.
Omschrijving
Vaste plaatbrug met drie doorvaarten. Landhoofden van baksteen, op de uiteinden verzwaard met eenvoudig beeldhouwwerk. Pijlers van baksteen en gedecoreerd natuursteen. Stalen randliggers (aan de onderzijde schuin aansluitend op andere stalen liggers) met eenvoudig geprofileerde afdeklijst. Smeedijzeren sierbalustrade, aan de onderzijde beeindigd door afdeklijst en vastgezet aan de pylonen en op de uiteinden door middel van stroppen die op hun beurt weer vastzitten aan de verzwaringen op de landhoofden.

Introduction
In 1925 as a result of a conversion, a fixed PLATE or BEAM BRIDGE with three waterways to a design from 1923 by P.L. Kramer in Amsterdam School style, commissioned by the Bridges department of the then Public Works service in the municipality of Amsterdam. The bridge (bridge number 63) spans the Prinsengracht and connects the Westermarkt with the Rozengracht.
Description
Fixed plate bridge with three waterways. Abutments of brick, reinforced at the ends with simple sculptural work. Piers of brick and decorated natural stone. Steel edge beams (at the underside connecting obliquely to other steel beams) with simply profiled cover moulding. Wrought iron decorative balustrade, at the underside finished by cover moulding and fixed to the pylons and at the ends by means of straps which in turn are attached to the reinforcements on the abutments.

Fixed plate or beam bridge in Amsterdam School style by P.L. Kramer of general interest because of architectural-historical value because of the aesthetic quality of the design as well as of importance for the appearance of the city.
