Inleiding
Op de hoek van 1E Passeerdersdwarsstraat en Passeerdersstraat op een onregelmatig terrein in 1852-1853 gerealiseerd woningbouwcomplex bestaande uit 12 woningen in opdracht van de Vereeniging ten behoeve der Arbeidersklasse. De architect was H. Hana. Het betreft hier in feite twee 'huizen' met elk drie paar modelwoningen. De drie woningen aan de Passeerdersstraat zijn later aangebouwd, en wel in 1933-1934 door J.F. Repko.
Omschrijving
Op een haakvormige plattegrond opgetrokken bakstenen woningbouwcomplex op een eveneens bakstenen basement bestaande uit drie verdiepingen, met uitzondering van de beide risalieten, die een zolderverdieping hebben. Het geheel wordt gedekt door een schilddak. De symmetrisch ingedeelde gevel aan de Eerste Passeerdersdwarsstraat bestaat uit zes vensterassen waarbij de tweede en vijfde as worden gevormd door een risaliet met afgeschuinde hoeken. Achter de risalieten bevindt zich een dubbele steektrap.
Indeling met brede kozijnen met roedenverdeling en door roeden onderverdeelde bovenlichten hebben nog de oorspronkelijke roedenverdeling. Achter de vensters de 12 woonkamers. De afgeschuinde kanten van de hoeken van het gebouw zijn goed zichtbaar aan de overstekende en geprofileerde daklijst. In de gevel horizontaal gemetselde lijsten met gietijzeren muurankers in de vorm van rozetten.

Description
A brick housing complex built on a hook-shaped ground plan on a likewise brick basement consisting of three storeys, with the exception of both projecting sections, which have an attic storey. The whole is covered by a hipped roof. The symmetrically laid out facade on the Eerste Passeerdersdwarsstraat consists of six window bays whereby the second and fifth bay are formed by a projecting section with bevelled corners. Behind the projecting sections is a double flight of stairs.
Layout with broad frames with glazing bars and by bars subdivided fanlights which still have the original glazing bar pattern. Behind the windows the 12 living rooms. The bevelled sides of the corners of the building are clearly visible on the overhanging and moulded gutter line. In the facade horizontally laid masonry bands with cast iron ornamental wall anchors in the form of rosettes.
