Inleiding
FRUITMUUR uit 1809, voorheen gebruikt voor de kweek van abrikozen, gelegen aan de oostwestzijde van het door sloten omgeven terrein van het kerkelijk complex St Jan de Doper. De muur ligt langs de sloot en strekt zich uit over de hele breedte van het terrein. De muur, gebouwd ten behoeve van de pastoor, zou opgetrokken zijn uit hergebruikte stenen afkomstig van het gesloopte Keuletkerkje dat zich hier bevonden heeft.
Omschrijving
Circa veertig meter lange en drie meter hoge gemetselde tweeënhalfsteens fruitmuur met steunberen aan de noordzijde (slootzijde). Oorspronkelijk was de muur afgedekt met rode oud-Hollandse pannen. De muur is aan beide uiteinden afgerond.
Waardering
De fruitmuur is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische en typologische waarden als voorbeeld van een vroeg negentiende-eeuwse muur in een particuliere moestuin voor de kweek van leifruit.
De fruitmuur is als onderdeel van de oude pastorietuin een historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het kerkcomplex en vormt de afsluiting van het oude kerkterrein.
De fruitmuur is gaaf in hoofdvorm en materiaalgebruik.

Description
Introduction
FRUIT WALL from 1809, formerly used for the cultivation of apricots, located on the east-west side of the section of the ecclesiastical complex St Jan de Doper surrounded by ditches. The wall runs along the ditch and extends over the entire width of the grounds. The wall, built for the benefit of the parson, is said to have been erected from recycled stones originating from the demolished Keulet Chapel that stood here.
Description
Approximately forty metres long and three metres high mortared two-and-a-half-brick fruit wall with buttresses on the north side (ditch side). Originally the wall was capped with red old-Dutch tiles. The wall is rounded at both ends.
Valuation
The fruit wall is of general interest because of cultural-historical and typological values as an example of an early nineteenth-century wall in a private vegetable garden for the cultivation of espalier fruit.
The fruit wall as part of the old parsonage garden is a historically-functional component of the church complex and forms the boundary of the old church grounds.
The fruit wall is intact in main form and material use.
