Inleiding
AFSTANDSPAAL (hectometerpaal) staand op de hoek van de Molen- en de Borgweg op het trottoir. Het paaltje is zo langzamerhand het enig overgebleven exemplaar in de provincie Groningen. Het werd gebruikt om de afstand in hectometers aan te geven.
Omschrijving
Gietijzeren AFSTANDSPAAL, bestaande uit een achthoekige schacht met twee vijfkantige vleugeltjes, een achthoekig fries met paneeltjes, bekroond door een achthoekig "kapiteel". Op het ene vleugeltje staat "Dr", op het andere "2".
