Omschrijving
Inleiding.
KOETSHUIS/PAKHUIS, omstreeks 1895 opgetrokken in Eclectische- en Neo-renaissancestijl. Het koetshuis bevindt zich twee huizen ten zuidwesten van nummer 24 (onderdeel II van dit complex). Aan de rechterzijde is een bijbehorend klein inrijpoortje gelegen.
Omschrijving.
Nr. 18, voormalig koetshuis/pakhuis, op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken gebouw van één bouwlaag met een gevel in schoon metselwerk, gemetseld in kruisverband. Het pand heeft een kapverdieping met een plat dak met schild aan de voorzijde, gedekt met geschubde leien. In de voorgevel is overvloedig gebruik gemaakt van hardsteen als decoratie in onder andere basementen voor de penanten, aanzetstenen, diamantkoppen, afdeklijsten en piron. In de voorgevel zijn twee met segmentbogen overtoogde inrijpoorten aangebracht, elk met een dubbele opgeklampte deur met gedeeld bovenlicht. De segmentbogen hebben hardstenen diamantkoppen in de top. Bakgoot op geornamenteerde zandstenen consoles. Fries met tegeltableau op tandlijst met Franse lelies. Met een segmentboog overtoogde en met een piron bekroonde dakkapel met opgeklampt laadluik. In de zijgevel bevinden zich enkele vernieuwde vensters. Aan de ingang van de steeg naar het achtererf bevindt zich een klein, gemetseld poortje met een opgeklampte deur die met een segmentboog overtoogd is. In basement, sluit- en aanzetstenen is hardsteen gebruikt.
Waardering.
Het koetshuis is van algemeen belang en heeft cultuurhistorische waarden als voorbeeld van een woning voor de dorpse elite van rond 1900. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarden vanwege de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de rijke ornamentiek en details. Vanwege de onderlinge relatie bezitten beide objecten ensemblewaarde. No. 18, former coach house/warehouse, a building on a rectangular ground plan of one storey with a facade in ashlar brickwork, laid in English bond. The building has a roof-space conversion with a flat roof with shield at the front, covered with slated shingles. In the front facade abundant use has been made of ashlar as decoration in, among other things, basements for the pilasters, quoins, diamond studs, cornice moldings and ornamental ridge tiles. In the front facade two carriage entrances with segment arches have been inserted, each with a double clamped door with divided fanlight. The segment arches have ashlar diamond studs at the apex. Gutter on ornamented sandstone corbels. Frieze with tile tableau on dentil band with French fleurs-de-lis. A dormer window with segment arch and crowned with an ornamental ridge tile with clamped loading hatch. In the side facade there are several renewed windows. At the entrance to the alley to the back yard there is a small, bricked gateway with a clamped door which is topped with a segment arch. Ashlar has been used in basement, striking and quoin courses.
Valuation.
The coach house is of general importance and has cultural-historical values as an example of a dwelling for the village elite around 1900. It has architectural-historical values because of the high quality of the rich ornamentation and details. Because of the mutual relationship both objects possess ensemble value. Both objects are of importance because of the architectural integrity of the whole.
