Inleiding.
De vroegere DISTILLEERDERIJ MET BOVENWONING werd gebouwd in 1911 in opdracht van S. de Winter. Het pand is opgetrokken in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl boven een reeds bestaande distilleerderij. Het pand herbergt inwendig nog goederen, benodigd voor het distilleerbedrijf. Het geheel is rond 1980 gerestaureerd.
Omschrijving.
Het drielaagse onderkelderde lijstgevelpand met mezzanino heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en een schilddak gedekt met zwarte oudhollandse dakpannen. Naast dit vier traveeën tellende deel is er ter linkerzijde een lagere travee met trapgevel en de entree van de bovenwoning, nummer 13a. Dit deel is ingepast in de gevel van het buurpand op nummer 11. De gevel is opgetrokken uit machinale baksteen met gecementeerde speklagen. De plint, dorpels en cordonlijsten zijn van hardsteen. Nummer 13 heeft op de begane grond twee T-vensters en een grote rondboogpoort, voorzien van een sluitsteen met een bijenkorf in reliëf. Op de etage bevinden zich vier tuimelvensters met ompleisterde strekken. De bovenlichten zijn voorzien van glas-in-lood. Op de tweede verdieping bevinden zich drie rondboogramen met siermetselwerk onder de dorpels. De oorspronkelijke ramen zijn vervangen door rechthoekige tuimelvensters. De mezzaninoverdieping heeft drie drielichts raampjes, met verdiept siermetselwerk tussen de vensters en reliëfmetselwerk onder de cordonlijst. De kroonlijst rust op brede voluutvormige klossen. De bovenwoning, nummer 13a, heeft op de begane grond een glasdeur met bovenlicht onder segmentboog. Vanaf de borstwering met verdiept veld van het T-venster er boven zijn lisenen met kraagstenen gemetseld, die de rondboog van het T-venster op de tweede etage omlijsten. De kwarthol geprofileerde aanzetstenen en de afdekplaten van de trappen zijn van natuursteen.

The former DISTILLERY WITH UPPER DWELLING was built in 1911 on commission of S. de Winter. The building was constructed in Artisanal-Traditional style above an already existing distillery. The three-storey undercellared cornice-topped facade building with mezzanine has a rectangular floor plan and a hipped roof covered with black Dutch tiles. Next to this part comprising four bays is a lower bay on the left side with a stepped gable and the entrance to the upper dwelling, number 13a. This part is fitted into the facade of the neighbouring building at number 11. The facade is constructed of machine-made brickwork with mortared speckled courses. The plinth, sills and cornices are of hard stone. Number 13 has on the ground floor two T-windows and a large round-arched gateway, provided with a keystone with a beehive in relief. On the storey above are four tumble windows with plastered surrounds. The fanlights are provided with leaded glass. On the second floor are three round-arched windows with decorative brickwork below the sills. The original windows have been replaced by rectangular tumble windows. The mezzanine storey has three three-light windows, with recessed decorative brickwork between the windows and relief brickwork below the cornice. The cornice rests on broad volute-shaped consoles. The upper dwelling, number 13a, has on the ground floor a glazed door with fanlight under a segmental arch. From the parapet with recessed field of the T-window above are lisenes with corbels laid in brick, which frame the round arch of the T-window on the second storey. The quarter-round profiled base stones and the paving stones of the stairs are of natural stone.

The former distillery with upper dwelling is of general importance.
