Inleiding.
Het ELECTRICITEITSHUISJE is gebouwd rond 1920 in de vormgeving van het Nieuwe Bouwen. Het gebouwtje staat markant op de hoek van de Kloosterstraat en de Huybergsestraat.
Omschrijving.
Het eenlaagse electriciteitshuisje heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en een plat dak. De gevels zijn asymmetrisch vorm gegeven. De plint is uitgevoerd in paarse machinale baksteen met rollaag, verder gele baksteen en een rand blauw geglazuurde bakstenen onder de daklijst. Aan de zijde van de Huybergsestraat bevindt zich links de metalen deur, met links een iets uitkragend baksteen pijlerachtig element. Dit is om de hoek doorgetrokken, en wordt afgesloten door de betonnen luifel boven de deur. De raampartij rechts bestaat uit vierkante glazen prismastenen in raamwerk en heeft een betonnen luifel rechts boven. Het platte dak is rechts lager dan aan de linkerzijde. De bakstenen plint is aan de rechterzijde uitgemetseld als een halfrond element. De linker- en rechterzijgevel zijn verder blind.
