Omschrijving
WOONBLOKJE gesitueerd aan de zuidzijde van de Vijverlaan (nummers 73;75), bestaande uit twee woningen onder één kap. De éénlaags woningen met zolderverdieping op samengesteld grondplan zijn opgetrokken in rode baksteen (kruisverband) en worden afgedekt door een schilddak met kleine aankappingen ter plaatse van topgevels in de zijgevels. De topgevels zijn voorzien van windveren. Het dak is belegd met rode verbeterde Hollandse pannen en watert af via houten bakgoten op gesneden klossen. Midden op de nok is een gemeenschappelijke schoorsteen geplaatst die wordt afgesloten door enkele uitgemetselde lagen baksteen. In het voor- en in het achterschild bevindt zich een brede platgedekte houten dakkapel met per woning drie gekoppelde enkelruits klapramen. Het trasraam wordt, evenals alle muuropeningen, afgesloten door een rollaag.
Beide woningen bezitten in de symmetrisch ingedeelde VOORGEVEL een groot rechthoekig venster met twee gekoppelde schuiframen (oorspronkelijk met schuivende meerruits onder- en bovenramen) en een terugliggende ingangspartij met afgeschuinde zijde en afsluitende houten latei met geknipte loodslabben. Dit ondiepe portiek bezit een opgeklampte deur met smeedijzeren beslag, een klein rechthoekig venster en in de afgeschuinde zijde een smal venster met draaiende onderraam en klappend bovenlicht. De latei wordt aan een zijde (in het verlengde van de zijgevel) ondersteund door een zich verjongende muurdam.
De ZIJGEVELS hebben in het midden een kleine uitbouw met klapraampje onder doorgetrokken dakschild. Het gedeelte van de zijgevel achter deze uitbouw is uitgevoerd als topgevel en bezit een schuifraam in de eerste bouwlaag en in de geveltop. Aan de ACHTERZIJDE hebben de woningen in het midden een kleine oorspronkelijke uitbouw onder doorgetrokken dakschild. Hierin bevinden zich de (vernieuwde) achterdeuren. Op deze uitbouw sluit een moderne uitbreiding met plat dak aan. Naast de uitbouw bezitten de woningen in de achtergevel een rechthoekig venster (twee gekoppelde stolpramen met bovenlichten).

SMALL RESIDENTIAL BLOCK situated on the south side of Vijverlaan (numbers 73;75), consisting of two dwellings under one roof. The single storey dwellings with attic storey on a compound ground plan are constructed in red brick (English bond) and are covered by a hipped roof with small hipped sections at the location of top gables in the side facades. The top gables are furnished with wind braces. The roof is covered with red improved Dutch tiles and drains via wooden gutters on cut brackets. In the middle of the ridge a common chimney is placed and is finished with several courses of laid brick. In the front and rear roof slope there is a wide flat-topped wooden roof dormer with per dwelling three coupled single-pane casement windows. The rubble stone frame is closed, as are all wall openings, by a brick relieving arch.
Both dwellings possess on the symmetrically arranged FRONT FACADE a large rectangular window with two coupled sash windows (originally with sliding multi-pane upper and lower sashes) and a recessed entrance section with bevelled side and closing wooden lintel with cut lead slabs. This shallow porch has a clamped door with wrought iron fittings, a small rectangular window and on the bevelled side a narrow window with casement lower sash and hinged fanlight. The lintel is supported on one side (in line with the side facade) by a tapering wall beam.
The SIDE FACADES have in the middle a small extension with casement window under extended roof slope. The section of the side facade behind this extension is executed as a top gable and has a sash window on the first storey and on the gable top. On the REAR the dwellings have in the middle a small original extension under extended roof slope. In this are located the (renewed) rear doors. A modern extension with flat roof adjoins this extension. Next to the extension the dwellings have in the rear facade a rectangular window (two coupled tilt windows with fanlights).
