Langgerekt WOONBLOK aan de westzijde van het Van Verschuerplein, bestaande uit 14 eengezinswoningen met moderne uitbouwen aan de achterzijde en een geïntegreerde rondboogpoort in het midden. Boven deze poort bevinden zich nog 2 bovenwoningen waarvan de entrees halverwege de beide zijden van de onderdoorgang zijn gesitueerd. De ondiepe voortuintjes worden van elkaar gescheiden door lage muurtjes, en hebben aan de zijde van het trottoir lage smeedijzeren hekjes.
De gevels zijn opgetrokken in rode baksteen en gemetseld in kruisverband. Het trasraam wordt afgesloten door een rollaag. De tweebeukige woningen hebben in de voorgevel een groot rechthoekig venster met kruiskozijn (schuivende benedenramen) en een ingang met vernieuwde deur, houten luifeltje op gesneden houten consoles en enkelruits bovenlicht. Alle muuropeningen worden afgesloten door anderhalfsteense strekken. Ter plaatse van de bovenwoningen aan weerszijden van de rondboogpoort steekt de voorgevel door de gootlijn heen en is tot twee bouwlagen opgetrokken met een afsluitende topgevel. De achterzijde van het woonblok is bij de renovatie gemoderniseerd.
Het woonblok wordt overdekt door een langgerekt doorgaand zadeldak met een aangekapt zadeldak ter plaatse van de topgevel boven de rondboogpoort. De daken zijn gedekt met gesmoorde gegolfde pannen. In het dakschild aan de voorzijde hebben de eengezinswoningen een plat gedekte houten dakkapel. Het dak watert af via houten bakgoten op eenvoudig bewerkte klossen. De topgevels worden afgesloten door windveren.

Description
Elongated RESIDENTIAL BLOCK on the west side of the Van Verschuerplein, consisting of 14 single-family dwellings with modern rear extensions and an integrated round-arch gateway in the centre. Above this gateway are 2 further upper floor dwellings, with entrances situated halfway along the both sides of the passage. The shallow front gardens are separated from each other by low walls, and have low wrought-iron gates on the pavement side.
The facades are constructed in red brick and laid in cross bond. The clinker brick is finished with a course of roof tiles. The two-aisle dwellings have in the front facade a large rectangular window with a cross window (sliding lower frames) and an entrance with renewed door, small wooden canopy on carved wooden brackets and single-pane fanlight. All wall openings are finished with one-and-a-half brick bond. At the location of the upper floor dwellings on either side of the round-arch gateway, the front facade projects through the gutter line and is built up to two storeys high with a closing stepped gable. The rear side of the residential block was modernised during renovation.
The residential block is covered by an elongated continuous gabled roof with an annexed gabled roof at the location of the stepped gable above the round-arch gateway. The roofs are tiled with smothered corrugated tiles. In the roof plane on the front side, the single-family dwellings each have a flat-roofed timber dormer. The roof drains via wooden gutters on simply worked brackets. The stepped gables are finished with wind braces.
