Inleiding
(Voormalig) GEMEENTEHUIS van de vroegere gemeente Egmond-Binnen, gelegen in een historische gevelwand van oudere bebouwing (veelal rijksmonumenten), recht tegenover de slotfundamenten in het van rijkswege beschermde dorpsgezicht van Egmond aan den Hoef.
Omschrijving
Het voormalige gemeentehuis heeft een rechthoekig grondplan en telt één bouwlaag onder een schilddak met geglazuurde pannen. De gevels zijn boven een zwart geschilderde plint opgetrokken in rode baksteen in kruisverband. De voor- en achtergevel tellen beide drie vensterassen.
De voorgevel (N) wordt afgesloten door een wit gepleisterd fries en een geprofileerde uitkragende gootlijst op klossen. Op de begane grond rechts de eenvoudige paneeldeur onder getoogd bovenlicht waarvoor een hardstenen stoep. Links van de deur twee getoogde zesruits-schuifvensters met houten waterdorpels. Tussen de vensters een gevelsteen waarop de tekst "Raadhuis" en "1871" is te lezen. In het midden van de gevel een plat afgedekte verhoogde bakstenen gevelpartij met geprofileerde daklijst en een gemetseld klokkentorentje met rondbogen en een met lood bekleed tentdakje. Het klokkentorentje rust op consoles met bladmotief en is voorzien van een wit gepleisterd fries en een geprofileerde gootlijst. In de middenpartij een roosvenster met vierruits roedenverdeling.
De achtergevel (Z) bevat drie recht gesloten zesruits-schuifvensters met houten waterdorpels. Geheel rechts in de oostgevel bevindt zich nog een identiek venster als in de voorgevel.
Waardering
Het voormalige gemeentehuis van Egmond-Binnen uit 1871 is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als representatief voorbeeld van een 19de-eeuws dorpsraadhuis in eclectische trant. Het pand heeft grote situationele waarde vanwege de ligging in een historische gevelwand in het rijksbeschermde dorpsgezicht van Egmond aan den Hoef.

Description
The former town hall has a rectangular ground plan and comprises one storey below a hipped roof with glazed tiles. The facades are above a black-painted plinth constructed in red brick in Flemish bond. The front and rear facades each contain three window axes.
The front facade (N) is closed by a white plastered frieze and a profiled projecting gutter line on corbels. On the ground floor on the right the simple panelled door below a segmental fanlight in front of which is a freestone step. To the left of the door two segmental six-pane sash windows with wooden drip mouldings. Between the windows a facade stone bearing the text "Raadhuis" and "1871". In the centre of the facade a flat-covered raised brick facade section with profiled roof line and a mortared small belfry with round arches and a lead-covered tent roof. The small belfry rests on consoles with leaf motif and is provided with a white plastered frieze and a profiled gutter line. In the centre section a rose window with four-pane glazing bars.
The rear facade (S) contains three straight-closed six-pane sash windows with wooden drip mouldings. At the far right in the east facade is another identical window as in the front facade.
Valuation
The former town hall of Egmond-Binnen from 1871 is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural-historical value as a representative example of a 19th-century village town hall in eclecticism. The building has great situational value because of its location within a historic facade in the nationally protected village scene of Egmond aan den Hoef.
