Omschrijving onderdeel 2:
PARKAANLEG, qua structuur XVIII of ouder; bestaande uit a. oprijlaan, b. huiseiland en c. overig terrein. ad a: de lange rechte oprijlaan, die in de as van het huis ligt, begint aan de Hoofdstraat in het dorp en loopt in noordoostelijke richting naar het huis, waar hij eindigt bij de brug over de gracht; hij kruist onder een scherpe hoek de in de 19e eeuw aangelegde spoorlijn; de laan, waarvan de enkelrijïge platanenbeplanting niet oorspronkelijk is, heeft een asfaltdek. ad b: het voorplein voor het huis heeft een druppelvormig perk met een buxushaagje; de rest is verhard met grind en asfalt; achter en opzij van het huis ligt een eigentijdse tuininrichting; aan de rechterkant van het voorplein staat een groep van oude linden in een rechthoekig patroon, als visueel tegenwicht voor het bouwhuis. ad c: het graslandperceel, dat tussen het eiland en de Oude Dijksterweg ligt, behoorde vroeger tot de aanleg: er was een laan (in dezelfde as als de oprijlaan), die eindigde bij een ovale vijver met daarachter een heuvel; e.e.a. is in XIXc verdwenen, maar inmiddels teruggebracht. Om de gracht loopt een wandeling met singelbeplanting, vroeger in de vorm van iepen, thans loopt er langs de oostelijke grachtarm een lindenlaan; de andere singeldelen hebben geen speciale beplanting behalve opslag van uitgegroeide esdoorn; onlangs is een weiland direct ten oosten van de singel beplant met fruitbomen; getuige restanten van een oude beukenhaag heeft hier wellicht vroeger ook een boomgaard gelegen; de weilandjes aan weerszijden van de oprijlaan en ten noorden van de spoorlijn zijn als buffers in het complex opgenomen.

PARK LAYOUT, in structure 18th century or older; consisting of a. driveway, b. house island and c. other grounds. ad a: the long straight driveway, which lies on the axis of the house, begins at the Hoofdstraat in the village and runs in a north-easterly direction to the house, where it ends at the bridge over the moat; it crosses at a sharp angle the railway line laid in the 19th century; the lane, whose single-row plane tree planting is not original, has an asphalt surface. ad b: the forecourt in front of the house has a drop-shaped bed with a box hedge; the rest is surfaced with gravel and asphalt; behind and to the side of the house lies a contemporary garden layout; on the right side of the forecourt stands a group of old linden trees in a rectangular pattern, as visual counterweight to the house building. ad c: the grassland plot, which lay between the island and the Oude Dijksterweg, formerly belonged to the layout: there was a lane (on the same axis as the driveway), which ended at an oval pond with behind it a mound; all of this disappeared in the 19th century, but has since been restored. Around the moat runs a walk with marginal planting, formerly in the form of elms, now along the eastern arm of the moat runs a linden avenue; the other marginal sections have no special planting except growth of wild maple; recently a meadow directly east of the marginal area was planted with fruit trees; witness to remains of an old beech hedge suggests a fruit garden may once have been here; the small meadows on either side of the driveway and north of the railway line are included as buffers in the complex.
