INLEIDING
Noordwestelijk van het hoofdgebouw gelegen BIJGEBOUW, onderdeel van het voormalige PEN-complex (Provinciaal Elektriciteitsbedrijf Noord-Holland), gebouwd in 1935 naar ontwerp van architect R.H.T. Zwiers. Het bijgebouw is qua ontwerp en vormgeving identiek aan het zuidwestelijk gelegen bijgebouw.
OMSCHRIJVING
Pand op rechthoekige plattegrond, bestaande uit één bouwlaag onder zadeldak met zwartgeglazuurde Hollandse pannen en houten dakoverstekken. Het pand is opgetrokken in gele baksteen in Vlaams verband, boven een iets risalerende kniehoge plint met kalkzandstenen afzaat. Eén kopgevel bevat een slanke bronzen lichtsleuf, de andere kopgevel heeft drie staande rechthoekige bronzen vensters. Eén langsgevel bevat in oorsprong slanke - eveneens in brons uitgevoerde - lichtsleuven, de andere langsgevel bevat onder andere de entree. Enkele kleine ronde vensters in langs- en kopgevel.
WAARDERING
Het pand is van algemeen belang als historisch functioneel onderdeel van het voormalige PEN-complex.

INTRODUCTION
Located to the northwest of the main building OUTBUILDING, part of the former PEN complex (Provincial Electricity Company North Holland), built in 1935 according to a design by architect R.H.T. Zwiers. The outbuilding is identical in design and form to the outbuilding located to the southwest.
DESCRIPTION
Building on rectangular plan, consisting of one storey under a gabled roof with black-glazed Dutch tiles and wooden roof overhangs. The building is constructed in yellow brick in Flemish bond, above a slightly projecting knee-high plinth with calcarenite string course. One gable contains a slender bronze light slot, the other gable has three standing rectangular bronze windows. One side facade contains originally slender - likewise in bronze executed - light slots, the other side facade contains among other things the entrance. Several small round windows in side and gable facades.
VALUATION
The building is of general interest as a historical functional component of the former PEN complex.
