Omschrijving onderdeel 6
MUREN en KASSEN; keermuren langs de gracht, XVIII of ouder: de binnengracht heeft keermuren met een lage borstwering aan de noordelijke, oostelijke en zuidelijke buitenoever; ook de kasteelcour wordt door terrasmuren van de gracht gescheiden; hiervan is de borstwering hoger; alle muurwerk in mergel. In de moestuin zijn twee evenwijdige muren in mergel; de meest noordelijke, met vensteropeningen, sluit de moestuin aan de noordzijde af van het weidegebied; via een kort stukje muur is er verbinding met het onder 5b genoemde hek; de muur is eigenlijk de achterwand van een grote 18e eeuwse kas, waarvan de fundering en de oostelijke zijwand (mergel) met ingang nog resteren; van deze zijmuur is de driehoekige vorm en een fraaie voluutvormige versiering nog duidelijk aanwezig; de andere muur, in het verlengde van de noordelijke grachtarm, dateert uit de 19e eeuw en eindigt tegen de buitengracht; ook in mergel; tegen deze muur, uitgebouwd in de binnengracht, het restant van een kas in mergel.

WALLS and GREENHOUSES; retaining walls along the moat, 18th century or older: the inner moat has retaining walls with a low breastwork on the northern, eastern and southern outer bank; the castle courtyard is also separated from the moat by terracing walls; the breastwork of these is higher; all masonry in marl. In the kitchen garden are two parallel walls in marl; the most northern, with window openings, closes off the kitchen garden on the north side from the pasture area; via a short section of wall there is connection with the fence mentioned under 5b; the wall is actually the rear wall of a large 18th century greenhouse, of which the foundation and the eastern side wall (marl) with entrance still remain; of this side wall the triangular shape and a fine scroll-shaped decoration are still clearly visible; the other wall, in line with the northern moat arm, dates from the 19th century and ends against the outer moat; also in marl; against this wall, built out into the inner moat, the remains of a greenhouse in marl.
