Inleiding
In 1925 werd in opdracht van Jac. van der Weijden een ronde VEESTAL ontworpen door architect B. van Rinsum te Wilnis. De cirkelvormige plattegrond is vernieuwend ten opzichte van de traditionele rechthoekige stallen: er is meer ruimte tussen de koeien om te melken en het voederen is eenvoudiger.
Omschrijving
De aan de Hoflandschedwarsweg, thans Provinciale weg, op de hoek met de Hoofdweg gelegen ronde veestal op cirkelvormige plattegrond is opgetrokken in baksteen onder een rieten zadeldak. De stal heeft een betonnen fudnament. Op de nok bevindt zich een ontluchtingsrooster. De veestal heeft een doorsnede van twaalf meter en biedt plaats aan 21 koeien. In de gevelwand zijn twee dubbele deuren, aan de oost- en westzijde en vier stalramen (noordoost / zuidwest / noordwest / zuidoost) aangebracht. Aan de zuidzijde is een verbinding gemaakt met de boerderij, die buiten de bescherming valt.
Het dak van de stal wordt intern gedragen door zes staanders.
Waardering
De ronde veestal is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als gaaf en zeldzaam voorbeeld van een afwijkend type veestal.

The circular cowshed on circular floor plan located on the Hoflandschedwarsweg, now Provincial road, at the corner with the Hoofdweg is erected in brickwork under a thatched gabled roof. The stall has a concrete foundation. On the ridge a ventilation grille is located. The cowshed has a diameter of twelve metres and accommodates 21 cows. In the facade wall two double doors are placed on the east and west sides and four stable windows (northeast / southwest / northwest / southeast). On the south side a connection has been made with the farmhouse, which falls outside the protection.
The roof of the stall is internally supported by six posts.
Valuation
The circular cowshed is of general importance due to its architectural and cultural-historical value as an intact and rare example of a deviating type of cowshed.
