Omschrijving
Aan de weg geplaatst, rechts van de boerderij gelegen gietijzeren TOEGANGSHEK. De aansluitende heg is (ca. 2000) vervangen door een hek dat in zijn vormgeving aangepast is aan het oude. Het hek bestaat uit drie geprofileerde hekpalen voorzien van een bolvormige bekroning. Hiertussen zijn een enkel en een dubbel spijlen(draai)hek geplaatst met speerpuntvormige bekroningen in fleur-de-lis motief. In de dubbele hekvleugels is de naam 'Welgelegen' aangebracht.
Waardering
Het hek is architectuurhistorisch waardevol als voorbeeld van een gietijzeren toegangshek, alsmede is het van ensemblewaarde in samenhang met de overige complexonderdelen.

Description
Cast-iron ENTRANCE GATE placed by the road, to the right of the farmhouse. The adjoining hedge was replaced (circa 2000) by a gate which in its design is adapted to the old one. The gate consists of three profiled gateposts provided with a spherical finial. Between these a single and a double spiked (swing) gate have been placed with spear-point shaped finials in fleur-de-lis motif. In the double gate wings the name 'Welgelegen' is placed.
Valuation
The gate is architecturally-historically valuable as an example of a cast-iron entrance gate, as well as being of ensemble value in connection with the other complex components.
