De haaks op de Molenweg, aan de toegangsweg ten noordoosten van het fort gelegen FORTWACHTERSWONING is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag onder een zadeldak met de nok haaks op de weg. Op de nokeinden bevindt zich een piron.
Drie van de vier gevels zijn boven een grijsgeschilderde bepleisterde, vooruitstekende plint opgetrokken in rode baksteen. De hoeken van de gevels zijn voorzien van bakstenen pilasters met baksteen kapitelen. De gevels zijn met uitzondering van de witgepleisterde voorgevel voorzien van tandlijsten in rode en gele baksteen. De getoogde vensters worden bekroond door een sluitsteen. De voorgevel of westgevel bevat vier vensters in de eerste bouwlaag. In de top is in het midden een venster gezet. Het dak heeft een overstek.
De rechterzijgevel (zuid) bevat in het midden een deur met bovenlicht en ter weerszijden in een spaarveld twee vensters. Tegen de achtergevel is een aanbouw gezet die buiten de bescherming valt. Voorts bevat de gevel een aantal vensteropeningen en een tandlijst op verdiepingshoogte.
De linkerzijgevel bevat een tweetal vensters en een klein venstertje.
Waardering
Van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als relatief gaaf voorbeeld van een wachterswoning met baksteen detailleringen, alsmede van ensemblewaarde in relatie tot de overige complexonderdelen.

Description
The FORT WARDEN'S DWELLING, situated at right angles to the Molenweg, on the access road to the northeast of the fort, is erected on a rectangular ground plan and comprises one storey beneath a gabled roof with the ridge at right angles to the road. At the ridge ends is a finial.
Three of the four facades are constructed above a grey-painted rendered projecting plinth in red brick. The corners of the facades are provided with brick pilasters with brick capitals. The facades, with the exception of the whitewashed front facade, are provided with dentil courses in red and yellow brick. The arched windows are crowned by a keystones. The front or west facade contains four windows on the first storey. At the top is a window placed centrally. The roof has an overhang.
The right side facade (south) contains a door with fanlight in the centre and on either side in a spandrel two windows. Against the rear facade an extension has been placed which falls outside the protection. Furthermore the facade contains a number of window openings and a dentil course at the level of the floor.
The left side facade contains two windows and a small little window.
Valuation
Of general importance due to the architectural-historical value as a relatively well-preserved example of a warden's dwelling with brick detailing, as well as of ensemble value in relation to the other complex components.
