Inleiding
Voormalig BRANDSPUITHUISJE gelegen aan de Arnhemseweg te Beekbergen. Het huisje is vermoedelijk gebouwd in de tweede helft van de jaren twintig in combinatie met het naastgelegen transformatorhuisje. Het huisje, wat nu dienst doet als berging, vertoont invloeden van het baksteenexpressionisme. Een deel van het interieur was vroeger in gebruik als tijdelijke gevangenis, waarvoor in de uitbouw rechts een arrestantencel was aangebracht.
Omschrijving
Het in kruisverband gemetselde, bakstenen pand is opgetrokken op T-vormige grondslag en telt één bouwlaag onder een met rode verbeterde Hollandse pan gedekt T-vormig, ver overstekend schilddak. De gevels hebben een steens rollaag van geteerde baksteen als afsluiting van het trasraam. Onder het dakoverstek bevindt zich een band metselwerk die tweemaal uitkraagt. Vlak onder het dakoverstek bevat de gevel een geprofileerde houten lijst met daaronder enkele ventilatieopeningen.
De VOORGEVEL heeft in het linker, vooruitspringende deel een terugliggend gevelvlak waarin dubbele houten getoogde deuren, ontlast door een segmentboog opgebouwd uit drie halfsteens rollagen, de binnenste rollaag zet zich naar beneden door als dagkant. De band metselwerk onder het dakoverstek bevat op de uitkraging siermetselwerk. Het rechter deel van de gevel is blind.
De LINKER ZIJGEVEL bevat twee symmetrisch geplaatste, liggende, enkelruits vensters.
De ACHTERGEVEL bevat in het rechter vooruitspringende deel een liggend enkelruits venster en in het linker deel vijf gekoppelde glazen bouwstenen.
De RECHTER ZIJGEVEL heeft in het vooruitspringende deel een terugliggend gevelvlak waarin een houten rondboogdeur, ontlast door een halfronde boog opgebouwd uit vier halfsteens rollagen. De band metselwerk onder het dakoverstek bevat op de uitkraging siermetselwerk. De twee terugliggende delen bevatten elk een liggend enkelruits venster.

Introduction
Former FIRE ENGINE HOUSE located on the Arnhemseweg in Beekbergen. The building is presumed to have been built in the second half of the 1920s in combination with the adjacent transformer house. The building, which now serves as storage, shows influences of brick expressionism. Part of the interior was formerly used as a temporary prison, for which a detention cell was installed in the extension on the right.
Description
The brick building, laid in cross bond, is erected on a T-shaped ground plan and comprises one storey beneath a T-shaped, widely projecting hipped roof covered with red improved Dutch tiles. The facades have a brick roll course of tarred brick as a finish to the transom. Beneath the roof overhang is a band of brickwork which projects twice. Just below the roof overhang the facade contains a profiled wooden moulding with several ventilation openings beneath it.
The FRONT FACADE has in the left, projecting part a recessed facade section with double wooden arched doors, relieved by a segmental arch composed of three half-brick roll courses, the innermost roll course continues downwards as a reveal. The band of brickwork beneath the roof overhang contains ornamental brickwork on the projection. The right part of the facade is blind.
The LEFT SIDE FACADE contains two symmetrically placed, horizontal, single-pane windows.
The REAR FACADE contains in the right projecting part a horizontal single-pane window and in the left part five coupled glass bricks.
The RIGHT SIDE FACADE has in the projecting part a recessed facade section with a wooden semicircular arch door, relieved by a semicircular arch composed of four half-brick roll courses. The band of brickwork beneath the roof overhang contains ornamental brickwork on the projection. The two recessed sections each contain a horizontal single-pane window.
