Inleiding
Het folly-achtige HONDENHOK, dat behoort bij de stelpboerderij uit 1906 aan de Rijksstraatweg 50, staat in de tuin, aan de noordwestzijde van de boerderij. Het is een ontwerp van architect Swart uit Heerenveen. Het hok is vermoedelijk tegelijkertijd met de boerderij gebouwd.
Omschrijving
Het bakstenen hondenhok heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en wordt gedekt door een tongewelf. Het geheel is bepleisterd met Portlandcement.
De ingang van het hondenhok wordt bekroond door een tuitvormig ornament.

Het hondenhok behorend bij de stelpboerderij uit 1906 aan de Rijksstraatweg 50 te Haskerdijken is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:

The folly-like DOG KENNEL, which belongs to the pile-dwelling farmhouse from 1906 at Rijksstraatweg 50, stands in the garden, on the north-west side of the farmhouse. It is a design by architect Swart from Heerenveen. The kennel was presumably built at the same time as the farmhouse.
