Omschrijving
OPHAALBRUG (1927) bestaande uit ijzeren I-balken, onderling verbonden door dwarsdragers waarover een houten val (brugdek) is gelegd. Aan weerszijden van de brug een brugleuning van ijzeren profielen; hameipoort en balans van ijzeren profielen; val opgehangen aan kabels aan de balans. De brug rust op betonnen landhoofden.

Ophaalbrug van algemeen belang vanwege architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde:
- als voorbeeld van een eenvoudige ophaalbrug uit 1927 in de provincie Groningen

BALKIE BRIDGE (1927) consisting of iron I-beams, interconnected by cross-members over which a wooden deck (bridge deck) is laid. On either side of the bridge a bridge rail of iron profiles; counterweight frame and balance of iron profiles; deck suspended on cables on the balance. The bridge rests on concrete abutments.
