Omschrijving
ZONNEWIJZER vervaardigd in 1919, bestaande uit een obelisk van zandsteen op een zandstenen pedestal. De obelisk wordt bovenaan doorsneden door een korte "dwarsbalk" van zandsteen waaromheen een zandstenen krans is gehangen (omkranst kruis). Schuin tussen de krans en de obelisk is een lange Hermesstaf van gegoten ijzer geplaatst die tot de grond reikt. De staf heeft twee vleugels en twee slangen, en wordt bekroond door een granaatappel (verwijzing naar Persephone). De zonnewijzer staat op een rond gazon waarop palmstruikjes geschoren in de vorm van cijfers, volgens de zonnetijd.

SUNDIAL made in 1919, consisting of a sandstone obelisk on a sandstone pedestal. The obelisk is cut through at the top by a short sandstone "cross-beam" around which a sandstone wreath is hung (wreathed cross). At an angle between the wreath and the obelisk a long Hermes staff of cast iron is placed reaching to the ground. The staff has two wings and two serpents, and is crowned by a pomegranate (reference to Persephone). The sundial stands on a round lawn on which shrubs are clipped in the form of numerals, according to solar time.
