Inleiding
Tegen de noordkant van de moestuinmuur is in 1944 door architect Andries de Maaker een FONTEIN met beeldengroep in een architectonische setting geplaatst, die door De Maaker sterk gerestaureerd was.
Omschrijving De architectonische setting van de uit gips vervaardigde beeldengroep wordt gevormd door een gemetselde muur met in het midden een halfronde uitstulping (serliana-motief) waarin zich 3 nissen bevinden. De op een zandstenen plint staande muur wordt aan weerszijden afgesloten door een gemetselde geblokte pijler bekroond door een zandstenen vaas. Voor de muur ligt een korfboogvormig geschulpt waterbassin, afgebakend door een bakstenen driesteenshoog muurtje. Voor de helblauw geschilderde nissen staat de uit gips vervaardigde beeldengroep: voor de grote nis in het midden staan 3 zeegoden tegen een schelpvormige achtergrond met daarvoor de fonteinkom gedragen door een solle; en twee paarden. De twee kleinere nissen aan weerszijden dienen als achtergrond voor twee putto-achtige zeemeerminnen.

Fontein met beeldengroep van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege:
- het materiaalgebruik, namelijk gips
- de ornamentele waarde

Introduction
Against the north side of the kitchen garden wall, in 1944 architect Andries de Maaker placed a FOUNTAIN with sculptural group in an architectural setting, which was heavily restored by De Maaker.
Description The architectural setting of the sculptural group made of plaster is formed by a masoned wall with a semicircular projection in the centre (serliana motif) in which 3 niches are located. The wall standing on a sandstone plinth is closed off on either side by a masoned blocked pillar topped by a sandstone vase. In front of the wall is a basket arch-shaped sculpted water basin, bounded by a brick wall three bricks high. In front of the pale-blue painted niches stands the sculptural group made of plaster: in front of the large niche in the centre stand 3 sea gods against a shell-shaped background with in front of it the fountain bowl supported by a sole; and two horses. The two smaller niches on either side serve as background for two putto-like mermaids.
