Inleiding
In 1918 gebouwde TUINKOEPEL in de voormalige tuin van de voormalige buitenplaats Eindenhout waarvan het hoofdgebouw reeds als Rijksmonument is beschermd. De met Classicistische motieven gedecoreerde tuinkoepel staat in het bosperceel achter (ten noordwesten van) het hoofdgebouw. De halfronde bol die de bovenzijde afsloot stortte in 1948 in. Op de koepel stond een centrale sculptuur die een sirene voorstelde.
Omschrijving
Op rond basement ter hoogte van twee treden staande tuinkoepel (peristylium) bestaande uit acht ionische zuilen met fantasiekapitelen. Op de kapitelen rust een ronde architraaf, daarboven een met guirlandes versierd fries die door een kroonlijst wordt afgesloten. Voor de koepel liggen twee sfinxen. Het object is uitgevoerd in gewapend beton.

Tuinkoepel met bijbehorende sfinxen van algemeen belang uit architectuur-, cultuur- en bouwhistorisch oogpunt vanwege de uniciteit van het vroege gebruik van gewapend beton voor een dergelijk tuinsierraad en de aan de stijl van het hoofdhuis aangepaste, Classicistisch geïnspireerde vormgeving.

GARDEN PAVILION built in 1918 in the former garden of the former country seat Eindenhout, whose main building is already protected as a national monument. Garden pavilion (peristylium) standing on a round base at the height of two steps, consisting of eight Ionic columns with fantasy capitals. On the capitals rests a round architrave, above which a frieze decorated with garlands closed off by a cornice. In front of the pavilion lie two sphinxes. The object is executed in reinforced concrete.
