Inleiding
In 1924 gebouwde houten MUZIEKTENT, gelegen aan de Westkolk. De muziektent valt binnen het beschermde dorpsgezicht Spaarndam.
Omschrijving
Achtzijdige, geheel in hout opgetrokken muziektent bestaande uit een onderbouw met podium dat wordt afgedekt door een door pilaren ondersteund dak. De circa één meter hoge achtzijdige onderbouw is opgetrokken uit houten planken. Aan de noordzijde bevindt zich aan één van de acht zijden van de onderbouw een vier treden tellende houten trap met leuningen die naar het podium leidt. De trap wordt aan de onderzijde afgesloten door een houten hek. Het podium wordt rondom afgesloten door een circa één meter hoog opengewerkt houten hekwerk dat de achtzijdige vorm van de onderbouw volgt. Op de hoeken van de acht zijden bevinden zich circa drie meter hoge houten pilaren die het dak dragen. Het dak bestaat uit twee achtzijdige daklagen boven elkaar. De onderste laag van het dak is geheel van hout. De bovenste laag is eveneens van hout maar is aan de bovenzijde met mastiek bekleed. In het midden van het dak bevindt zich een houten makelaar.
De gehele muziektent is donkergroen geverfd met uitzondering van de onderzijde van de onderste daklaag en de makelaar, welke beide wit geverfd zijn. De vloer van het podium bestaat uit ruw houten planken.
Waardering
Houten muziektent van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische waarde en zeldzaamheidswaarde, tevens is het object van belang vanwege zijn beeldondersteunende waarde binnen het beschermde dorpsgezicht Spaarndam.

An octagonal bandstand constructed entirely of wood consisting of a base structure with a platform that is covered by a roof supported by pillars. The approximately one metre high octagonal base structure is built from wooden planks. On the north side, at one of the eight sides of the base structure, there is a wooden staircase with railings comprising four steps that leads to the platform. The staircase is enclosed at the bottom by a wooden gate. The platform is enclosed on all sides by approximately one metre high open-work wooden railings that follow the octagonal shape of the base structure. On the corners of the eight sides are approximately three metre high wooden pillars that support the roof. The roof consists of two octagonal roof layers one above the other. The lower layer of the roof is entirely of wood. The upper layer is also of wood but is covered on the top side with mastic. In the middle of the roof there is a wooden finial.
The entire bandstand is painted dark green with the exception of the underside of the lower roof layer and the finial, which are both painted white. The floor of the platform consists of rough wooden planks.
