Inleiding
Uitbreiding van de Theologische Hogeschool aan de Koornmarkt (mon.nr. 23048). De uitbreiding stamt uit ongeveer 1910 en vormt een binnenplaats. Het ontwerp is deels traditioneel en bevat tevens in de serre elementen van de Chaletstijl. In het interieur is een leeszaal met kantine gevestigd. De andere vleugel is intern gemoderniseerd, waarbij de verbinding met het oudere bouwdeel is gewijzigd.
Omschrijving
L-vormig pand opgetrokken in roodbruine baksteen in twee bouwlagen onder een iets uitkragend schilddak met rode pannen; gootlijst op houten klossen; nieuwe slanke dakkapellen. Onder de dakrand een band met metselmozaïk, ter hoogte van boven-, wissel- en onderdorpels banden van grijze verblendsteen. Meerruits schuifvensters. Aan de binnenplaats is een serre aangebouwd onder plat dak, met snijwerk aan afhangende boeiborden. Het dak steunt op houten kolommen met korbelen. In het interieur een vrijwel originele indeling, met onder andere een houten toonbank.

Introduction
Extension of the Theological Seminary on the Koornmarkt (mon.nr. 23048). The extension dates from around 1910 and forms an inner courtyard. The design is partly traditional and also contains in the conservatory elements of the Chalet style. In the interior a reading room with canteen is housed. The other wing has been internally modernised, whereby the connection with the older building section has been altered.
Description
L-shaped building erected in reddish-brown brick in two storeys under a slightly overhanging hipped roof with red tiles; gutter moulding on wooden corbels; new slender roof dormers. Below the roof edge a band with mosaic brickwork, at the level of upper, intermediate and lower sills bands of grey facing brick. Multi-pane sash windows. On the inner courtyard a conservatory has been built with a flat roof, with fretwork on hanging fascia boards. The roof rests on wooden columns with corbels. In the interior an almost original layout, with amongst other things a wooden counter.
