Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 1:
HOOFDGEBOUW ('t Oude Hof).

Description
Description of component 1:
MAIN BUILDING ('t Oude Hof). The blocky whitewashed main building was constructed in the 17th century as a farmhouse, which explains its asymmetrical location on the rectangular moated grounds. In 1852 the originally elongated farmhouse was shortened lengthwise and extended on the east and west sides with a side aisle and remodelled in neoclassical style. Earlier in the 19th century, between 1804 and circa 1830, the farmhouse had been heightened. The building consists of two storeys under a hipped roof covered with Old Dutch tiles. The three-bay wide front facade (west) has centrally a projecting central section articulated by pilasters with a one-storey outbuilding in which the entrance door provided with a fanlight featuring ornamental ironwork. The door is flanked by elongated windows likewise provided with ornamental ironwork. The outbuilding is crowned by a balcony with simple railed balustrade, on the balcony open double doors under a triangular pediment flanked by narrow arched windows. In the roof shield a dormer. On either side of the central section is situated one window row consisting of a six-pane window with shutters on the ground floor and a four-pane window with shutters on the upper storey. The south and north facades consist of six bays with a central risalit of two bays. The window rows have the same arrangement as the front facade, only the south facade has on the ground floor French doors with fanlight and shutters and centrally in the central risalit a coupled window with French doors and a diamond-shaped glazing bar arrangement in the middle. Against the east facade several rectangular outbuildings.
The INTERIOR was remodelled in neoclassical style in 1852 and modified several times in the 20th century. Of importance is the layout with a symmetrical entrance hall in which a standing ceramic stove from around 1900. In the rooms on the ground floor are panelled doors, some fireplaces and two stucco ceilings, also a staircase with railing. In the cellar are blue wall tiles from the construction period with representations of animals, landscapes and children's games.
