Inleiding
DUBBEL WOONHUIS in 1902 in Art Nouveau-stijl gebouwd. Het huis staat aan de vroegere stadsgracht net buiten de oude binnenstad.
Omschrijving
Drie bouwlagen tellend woonhuis, opgetrokken in rode machinale baksteen. Het pand bestaat uit twee delen: het linkerdeel onder een schilddak met tuile du Nordpannen en piron, het rechterdeel onder plat dak en met een gemetselde borstwering als gevelafsluiting. De gevel is vertikaal geleed door hoeklisenen en een liseen tussen beide delen die eindigen in fialen. Boven de muuropeningen decoraties in gele baksteen; banden van hetzelfde materiaal. In het rechterdeel op de begane grond de entree in een portiek onder een hoefijzerboog met smeedijzeren decoraties. De entree bestaat uit twee deuren met traliewerk voor de hartvormige vensterpartijen.
Op de eerste en tweede verdieping steeds twee smalle vensters. Tussen beide verdiepingen een tegeltableau met de afbeelding van rijstpluksters en "1902". Boven de vensters op de tweede verdieping een afdakje steunend op korbelen en gedekt met rode tuile du Nordpannen.
Het linkerdeel heeft op de begane grond twee vensters met rondboogvormige bovenlichten met daarin ruitvormig verdeeld glas-in-lood. Op de eerste verdieping twee rechtgesloten vensters.
Daarboven een smal tegeltableau met bloemmotief. Op de tweede verdieping een loggia achter een hoefijzerboog en een gemetselde balustrade, aan weerszijden daarvan een klein venster. Onder de daklijst op klossen bevindt zich een boogfries.

Residence comprising three storeys, built in red machine-made brick. The property consists of two parts: the left part under a hipped roof with Tuile du Nord tiles and piron, the right part under a flat roof and with a rendered breast wall as facade termination. The facade is divided vertically by corner pilasters and a pilaster between both parts ending in finials. Above the wall openings decorations in yellow brick; bands of the same material. In the right part on the ground floor the entrance in a porch under a horseshoe arch with wrought-iron ornaments. The entrance consists of two doors with latticework for the heart-shaped window sections.
On the first and second floors always two narrow windows. Between both floors a tile tableau with the image of rice pickers and "1902". Above the windows on the second floor a small roof supported on corbels and covered with red Tuile du Nord tiles.
The left part has on the ground floor two windows with segmental arch fanlights containing lozenges-divided glass-in-lead. On the first floor two rectangular windows.
Above it a narrow tile tableau with floral motif. On the second floor a loggia behind a horseshoe arch and a rendered balustrade, on either side of which a small window. Beneath the roof line on brackets is a segmental arch frieze.
