Inleiding
MUZIEKKOEPEL in 1872 gebouwd naar een ontwerp van de stadsarchitekt N. Plomp. De muziekkoepel is gebouwd ter ere van het 300 jarig Den Briels ontzet en staat midden op de Nieuwe Markt in het centrum van Kampen.
Omschrijving
Octogonale koepel op bakstenen, onderkelderde onderbouw met gietijzeren roosters. De opbouw bestaat uit een balustrade met gedraaide houten balusters en acht gecanneleerde houten kolommen met schoren waarop achthoekig met asfaltpapier gedekt dak met overstekende daklijst. Dekoepel heeft een houten hangend plafond met middennaald.

Description
Octagonal dome on a brick basement with cellar and cast-iron gratings. The superstructure consists of a balustrade with turned wooden balusters and eight fluted wooden columns with braces on which an octagonal roof covered with asphalt paper with projecting eaves. The dome has a wooden suspended ceiling with central tie rod.
