Omschrijving
KOEPEL. Aan de Rijksstraatweg staat een koepel uit 1776, zoals de gedenksteen naast de toegang vermeld 'Carolina Justina Huydekoper Heeft Den Eersten Steen Tot Dit Tuynhuys Gelegt Op Den 12 Van Wintermaand 1776'. De op achthoekige grondslag opgetrokken koepel staat op een bakstenen voet en heeft een houten opbouw met kroonlijst en onder een met lood bedekt koepelvormig dak bekroond door een siervaas. Elke zijde bevat een groot venster met roedenverdeling onderling van elkaar gescheiden door geblokte pilasters, die door de groef de indruk geven alsof ze uit steenblokken bestaan. Boven en onder de vensters is smal lijstwerk aangebracht. Een natuurstenen stoep, waarlang een houten balustrade met zitbankjes aan weerszijden, leidt naar de dubbele toegangsdeur met bovenlicht voorzien van gesneden voluterend loofwerk met een vergulde strik en guirlande. In de lijst boven het licht is een cartouche met vrouwekopje aangebracht. Restauratie in 1982.

PAVILION. On the Rijksstraatweg stands a pavilion from 1776, as mentioned by the memorial stone next to the entrance 'Carolina Justina Huydekoper Placed the First Stone for This Garden House on the 12th of December 1776'. The pavilion, erected on an octagonal plan, stands on a brick base and has a wooden superstructure with cornice and beneath a lead-covered cupola-shaped roof crowned with an ornamental vase. Each side contains a large window with glazing bars separated from each other by fluted pilasters, which by the groove give the impression of being made of stone blocks. Narrow moulding is applied above and below the windows. A natural stone step, along which a wooden balustrade with benches on both sides, leads to the double entrance door with fanlight provided with carved scrolled foliage with a gilded ribbon and garland. In the moulding above the light is a cartouche with a female head. Restoration in 1982.
