Omschrijving complexonderdeel 6
Het aan de Davidsstraat gelegen blok ARBEIDERSWONINGEN (type 1) is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag onder een met rode pannen gedekte zadeldakvormige mansardekap. Aan de voorzijde bevinden zich op de geveleinden twee schoorstenen. Het blok is symmetrisch van opzet en indeling en bevat twee gespiegelde woningen.
De symmetrisch opgezette voorgevel heeft plaatselijk een opgelicht dakschild. Dit geveldeel bevat een dubbele ingangspartij onder een rollaag. Ter weerszijden van een in verticale baksteen gemetselde segmentboogvormige muurdam bevindt zich een recente voordeur met een schuingeplaatst zijlicht. De tweede bouwlaag bevat een strook van gepotdekselde delen waarin twee vierlichtsvensters zijn gezet. Het boeibord loopt naar beneden toe door en vormt een onderdeel van het kozijn dat zich in het één bouwlaag hoge deel van de voorgevel bevindt. Dit kozijn bevat een breed middendeel en smalle zijlichten met bovenlicht. Daarboven is een dakgoot op klossen aangebracht die om de hoek zwenkt.
De zijgevels zijn topgevels en bevatten op de hoeken een enkel venster onder de goot op klossen. In de tweede bouwlaag bevindt zich een vierlichtskozijn met dubbel draaivenster. De gevels zijn voorzien van muurankers. Vergelijkbaar met de voorgevel is de achtergevel deels hoger opgetrokken. De eerste bouwlaag bevat een kozijn met een deur en twee vensters. Het blok arbeiderswoningen is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als goed voorbeeld van sociale woningbouw met Amsterdamse School kenmerken van het architectenduo Vorkink en Wormser uit de eerste decennia van de twintigste eeuw. Het woningblok heeft stedenbouwkundige waarde als onderdeel van een vrij gaaf en samenhangend complex woningen, gegroepeerd aan weerszijden van een enigszins gebogen weg.

The block of WORKERS' DWELLINGS (type 1) located on Davidsstraat is built on a rectangular ground plan and comprises one storey under a gabled mansard roof covered with red tiles. On the front, at the facade ends there are two chimneys. The block is symmetrically designed and laid out and contains two mirrored dwellings.
The symmetrically arranged front facade has in places an illuminated roof panel. This facade section contains a double entrance arrangement under a roll moulding. On either side of a segmental arch-shaped brick wall built in vertical brick, there is a recent front door with a side light placed at an angle. The second storey contains a strip of half-barrel tiled sections in which two four-light windows are set. The fascia board runs downwards and forms a component of the frame that is located in the one-storey-high section of the front facade. This frame contains a wide central section and narrow side lights with a fanlight. Above this a gutter on corbels has been attached which turns the corner.
The side facades are gable ends and contain at the corners a single window under the gutter on corbels. In the second storey there is a four-light frame with double casement window. The facades are provided with wall anchors. Similar to the front facade, the rear facade is partially built higher. The first storey contains a frame with a door and two windows. In the centre a recent extension under a flat roof has been placed which falls outside the protection.

The block of workers' dwellings is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural-historical value as a good example of social housing with Amsterdam School characteristics by the architect duo Vorkink and Wormser from the first decades of the twentieth century. The housing block has urban planning value as part of a fairly well-preserved and coherent complex of dwellings, grouped on either side of a slightly curved road.
