Inleiding
Achtkante STELLINGMOLEN, blijkens datumsteen aan de westzijde in 1864 gebouwd. In 1906 kreeg de molen zelfzwichting. Kap met staart, stelling en gevlucht werden in 1946 door storm vernield. Restauratie vond plaats in de jaren 1990-1995. In de aangebouwde maalderij staan een houten MAALSTOEL en een ELEVATOR; in het motorhok een staande 1-cilinder tweetakt DIESELMOTOR (Brons, vermoedelijk jaren '20 en naar verluidt afkomstig uit een gemaal te Wagenborgen, Groningen).
Omschrijving
Korenmolen bestaande uit roodbakstenen achtkante onderbouw, stelling, met riet beklede romp en kap; gevlucht van twee gelast stalen roeden, voorzien van zelfzwichting met oudhollandse borden. Oudhollands opgehekt en zelfzwichtend; (ingekorte) gietijzeren bovenas uit 1889 (gieterij de 'Prins van Oranje' te Den Haag nr 1358 en afkomstig van de in 1964 afgebrande Puurveense molen te Kootwijkerbroek, Gelderland). In de west- en oostzijde zitten dubbele segmentboogvormige deuren; voor het overige negenruitsvensters. INTERIEUR. In de molen vijf zolders: de graanzolder, de maalzolder, de steenzolder met 2 koppels 16der stenen, de luizolder en de kapzolder.

Octagonal SMOCK MILL, built in 1864 as evidenced by a datestone on the west side. In 1906 the mill received self-regulating sails. The cap with tail, staging and sails were destroyed by storm in 1946. Restoration took place in the years 1990-1995. In the adjoining mill-house stand a wooden MILLSTONE and an ELEVATOR; in the engine-shed a stationary single-cylinder two-stroke DIESEL ENGINE (Brons, presumably from the 1920s and reportedly originating from a pumping station at Wagenborgen, Groningen).
Description
Corn mill consisting of a red-brick octagonal base, staging, reed-covered body and cap; sails of two welded steel rods fitted with self-regulating sails with Old Dutch boards. Old Dutch hinged and self-regulating; (shortened) cast-iron upper shaft from 1889 (foundry 'Prins van Oranje' in The Hague no. 1358 and originating from the Puurveense mill at Kootwijkerbroek, Gelderland, which burned down in 1964). On the west and east sides are double segment-arched doors; otherwise nine-pane windows. INTERIOR. In the mill five floors: the grain floor, the milling floor, the stone floor with 2 pairs of 16th-century stones, the cleaning floor and the roof floor.
