Naar ontwerp van A. de Maaker in 1926 gebouwd TOEGANGSHEK tot het hoofdgebouw van het landgoed Vinkenduin, opgetrokken in een historiserende bouwstijl.

Het toegangshek bestaat uit twee vierkante pijlers met daartussen een in tweeën gedeeld sierhekwerk.
De circa 1,80 meter hoge pijlers hebben een zandstenen voet en afdekplaat. De voet verbreedt zich iets naar onderen toe. Het muurwerk tussen de voet en de afdekplaat is van gemetselde baksteen welke op de hoeken van de pijlers in blokvorm is gemetseld. De afdekplaat, waarin in de noordelijke pijler het woord "VINKEN" en in de zuidelijke pijler het woord "DUIN" staat uitgehouwen, wordt bovenaan afgesloten door een geprofileerde kroonlijst. De pijlers waren in oorsprong bekroond met zandstenen vazen van circa 60 centimeter hoogte. Alleen bij de noordelijke pijler resteert nog deels de vaas.
Het in smeedijzer uitgevoerde sierhekwerk klapt in twee delen naar binnen toe open en is versierd met onder meer fantasiekrullen en speerpunten aan de bovenzijde.
Waardering
Het toegangshek is van algemeen belang uit cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt als ensemble-onderdeel van de vroeg 20ste-eeuwse bebouwing op het landgoed Vinkenduin en vanwege de, ook qua bouwstijl, directe relatie met het hoofdgebouw.

Description
The gate consists of two square pillars with decorative ironwork divided into two parts between them.
The approximately 1.80 metre high pillars have a sandstone base and coping. The base widens slightly towards the bottom. The masonry between the base and the coping is of laid brick which is laid in block form at the corners of the pillars. The coping, in which the word "VINKEN" is carved in the northern pillar and the word "DUIN" in the southern pillar, is finished at the top by a moulded cornice. The pillars were originally crowned with sandstone vases approximately 60 centimetres in height. Only at the northern pillar does part of the vase remain.
The decorative ironwork, executed in wrought iron, opens in two parts inward and is decorated with, among other things, fantasy scrolls and spearheads at the top.
Valuation
The gate is of general importance from a cultural-historical and architectural-historical point of view as an ensemble component of the early 20th-century development on the Vinkenduin estate and on account of the direct relationship with the main building, also in terms of architectural style.
