Inleiding
Boerderij gebouwd in 1915 in opdracht van J. Horring, getekend door J. Daanje uit Emmen. Opvallend is de bijzonder rijke detaillering van met name het woongedeelte van de boerderij. De boerderij is beeldbepalend gelegen aan de Brink.
In 1991 is het bedrijfsgedeelte gedeeltelijk veranderd in kantoorruimte. De baander is hierbij dichtgezet met een glaspui.
De bescherming betreft het exterieur.
Omschrijving
Boerderij neigend naar het landherentype, opgetrokken in baksteen.
Het woongedeelte heeft één bouwlaag op een zandstenen plint onder een met Lucas IJsbrand gedekt schilddak. Op de nokeinden schoorstenen met versierde kappen. Onder de gootlijst een bijzondere kroonlijst met een vakverdeling d.m.v. groeven. De vakken hebben schijnvoegen in een fijn verband.
Alle schuifvensters zijn rechtgesloten onder een segmentboog met sluit- en aanzetstenen en met rolwerk en een medaillon in de boogtrommel.
Centraal in de symmetrische voorgevel (Z) een hoger opgaande risaliet onder platdak met eenzelfde kroonlijst, bovendien met gietijzeren crète. Op de begane grond een teruggelegen dubbele paneeldeur met sierroosters tussen overhoekse pilasters met diamantkoppen en cannelures. Op de verdieping een balkon. Aan weerszijden van de middenpartij twee schuifvensters.
In beide zijgevels van het woongedeelte vier schuifvensters, sommige T-vormig.
De kap van het bedrijfsgedeelte is met hollandse pannen gedekt en heeft een piron. In de rechterzijgevel (O) de dichtgezette overhoekse baander en vier gietijzeren stalramen, met facet-roedenverdeling. De linkerzijgevel (N) heeft een krimp met schuifvensters, voorts gietijzeren stalramen.
De bedrijfsgevel, met wolfeind en vlechtwerk onder de gootlijst, heeft links een grote en rechts van het midden een kleine inrit. Ertussen een opgeklampte loopdeur met tweeruits bovenlicht en een stalraam, geheel rechts twee opgeklampte loopdeuren. Onder het wolfeind drie stalramen.
Interieur
De indeling van het interieur van het woongedeelte is gehandhaafd. Het bedrijfsgedeelte is gewijzigd tot kantoor.
Waardering
Voormalig boerderij van cultuur-, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang:

The residential part has one storey on a sandstone plinth under a hipped roof covered with Lucas IJsbrand tiles. On the roof ridge ends chimneys with decorated caps. Below the gutter line a distinctive cornice with a bay division by means of grooves. The bays have false joints in a fine bond.
All sash windows are square-topped under a segmental arch with closing and setting stones and with scrollwork and a medallion in the arch barrel.
Central in the symmetrical front facade (S) a taller projecting risalit under flat roof with the same cornice, moreover with cast-iron crête. On the ground floor a recessed double panelled door with ornamental grilles between diagonal pilasters with diamond heads and fluting. On the upper floor a balcony. On either side of the middle section two sash windows.
In both side facades of the residential part four sash windows, some T-shaped.
The roof of the business part is covered with Dutch tiles and has a ventilating ridge tile. In the right side facade (E) the sealed-off diagonal byre and four cast-iron stable windows, with faceted glazing bars. The left side facade (N) has a wall scar with sash windows, furthermore cast-iron stable windows.
The business facade, with half-hipped roof and woven work below the gutter line, has on the left a large and to the right of the middle a small entrance. Between them a clamped access door with two-light fanlight and a stable window, far right two clamped access doors. Below the half-hipped roof three stable windows.
Interior
The layout of the interior of the residential part has been retained. The business part has been altered to office.
