Inleiding
In streek-eigen trant gebouwde STOLPBOERDERIJ van het afgeleide Noord-Hollandse type, gelegen op verhoging aan de zuidzijde van de Westerstraat met de noklijn haaks op de weg. De in oorsprong rond 1800 gebouwde stolpboerderij had een houten topgevel boven het centrale schuifvenster aan de voorzijde. Boven deze topgevel bevond zich in het dakschild een gemetselde schoorsteen.

Omschrijving
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebouwde en ten dele onderkelderde stolpboerderij onder rietgedekt zadeldak met boven beide zijden een pannenrand in rode en zwarte Hollandse pan en aan de achterzijde een rechthoekige spiegel in rode Hollandse pan. De inwendige houten draagconstructie bestaat uit een dubbel vierkant met dekbalkgebinten. Het muurwerk is opgetrokken in rode baksteen. De merendeels symmetrisch opgezette voorgevel (N) heeft een gecementeerde plint. De voorgevel heeft drie negenruits schuifvensters - één centraal geplaatst en één op elke hoek - en twee paneeldeuren. De paneeldeuren, die zich direct naast de beide buitenste schuifvensters bevinden, hebben elk een bovenlicht met ruitvormige onderverdeling. Nabij de linker- en rechterhoek bevinden zich op plinthoogte kleine vierkante keldervensters. De voorgevel heeft geen gootlijst, wel korte gladde windveren ten behoeve van de pannenranden boven beide zijgevels. De rechterzijgevel (W) is een lage wand met een reeks kleine rechthoekige houten stalvensters tussen de klossen van de gootlijst. De linkerzijgevel (O) heeft vier kleine meerruits vensters onder de gootlijst. De achtergevel (Z) heeft rechts de darsdeur.

A STOLP FARMHOUSE built in the regional manner of the derived North Holland type, situated on a raised position on the south side of the Westerstraat with the ridge line perpendicular to the road. The stolp farmhouse, originally built around 1800, had a wooden gable above the central sash window on the front elevation. Above this gable there was a brick chimney in the roof pitch.

Description
A stolp farmhouse built on a rectangular ground plan and partly cellared, under a reed-thatched gabled roof with above both sides a tiled edge in red and black Dutch tiles and at the rear a rectangular panel in red Dutch tiles. The internal wooden load-bearing structure consists of a double square with tie-beam trusses. The masonry is built in red brick. The largely symmetrically arranged front elevation (N) has a cemented plinth. The front elevation has three nine-pane sash windows - one centrally placed and one at each corner - and two panelled doors. The panelled doors, situated directly beside both outer sash windows, each have a fanlight with lozenge-pattern glazing. Near the left and right corner there are small square cellar windows at plinth height. The front elevation has no gutter moulding, but short smooth wind braces for the tile edges above both side elevations. The right side elevation (W) is a low wall with a series of small rectangular wooden stable windows between the brackets of the gutter moulding. The left side elevation (E) has four small multi-pane windows under the gutter moulding. The rear elevation (S) has the threshing door on the right.
Valuation
The stolp farmhouse built in the regional manner is of general importance from a cultural- and architectural-historical perspective as an example of traditional rural architecture from the early 19th century. The farmhouse has ensemble value because of its situation on a raised position along the road.
