Inleiding
Ten behoeve van personeel van de boerderij "Zorg en Hoop" gebouwde ARBEIDERSWONING die vrijwel geheel in oorspronkelijke staat is bewaard gebleven. Mogelijk dateert alleen de onder lessenaarsdak geplaatste aanbouw aan de oostzijde van na het bouwjaar (1874). De monumentale waarde van het object wordt door de aanbouw evenwel niet geschaad.
Omschrijving
De arbeiderswoning staat op rechthoekig grondplan en bestaat uit één bouwlaag onder zadeldak met aankapping aan de achterzijde (N). De kap is bedekt met zwarte Hollandse pannen en voorzien van houten goten op gootklampen. Het pand heeft een houtskelet en muurwerk dat halfsteens is opgetrokken in rode baksteen. Het muurwerk heeft smalle verticale muurankers ter verankering van de muurstijlen. De voorzijde (Z) is een langsgevel met horizontaal gedeelde houten deur met drieruits-bovenlicht en schuifvenster met negenruits schuifraam. De kopse linkerzijde (west) heeft alleen een venster met vierruits raam nabij de hoek met de voorzijde. De top van deze gevel wordt gevormd door een vierkante schoorsteen. Schuin over het muurwerk van deze zijde loopt een houten goot op gootklampen. De achterzijde (N) heeft door de aankapping een lage muur. In deze muur bevinden zich twee getoogde stalvensters van gietijzer. De kopse oostzijde gaat schuil achter de eerder genoemde aanbouw waarvan het met zwarte Hollandse pannen bedekte lessenaarsdak haaks staat op de noklijn van de hoofdkap. De aanbouw heeft in de lange zijde (O) alleen een klein venster met schuifluik vlak onder de goot. Aan de zuidzijde heeft de aanbouw verticaal houten beschot met een deur.
Waardering
De in sobere, ambachtelijke, traditionele trant gebouwde arbeiderswoning bij de boerderij "Zorg en Hoop" is van algemeen belang als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het boerderijcomplex.

A WORKER'S COTTAGE built for personnel of the farmhouse "Zorg en Hoop" which has remained in virtually original condition. The extension under a lean-to roof on the east side may only date from after the building year (1874). The monumental value of the object is not, however, diminished by the extension.
Description
The worker's cottage stands on a rectangular ground plan and consists of one storey under a gabled roof with roof extension at the rear (N). The roof is covered with black Dutch tiles and fitted with wooden gutters on gutter clamps. The building has a timber frame and masonry built in half-brick width in red brick. The masonry has narrow vertical wall anchors for anchoring the wall posts. The front (S) is a long side with a horizontally divided wooden door with three-pane fanlight and a sash window with nine-pane sash frame. The gable end left side (west) has only a window with a four-pane frame near the corner with the front. The top of this gable is formed by a square chimney. Diagonally across the masonry of this side runs a wooden gutter on gutter clamps. The rear (N) has a low wall due to the roof extension. In this wall are two arched cast-iron stable windows. The gable end east side is concealed behind the aforementioned extension whose lean-to roof covered with black Dutch tiles stands perpendicular to the ridge line of the main roof. The extension has in the long side (E) only a small window with sliding shutter just below the gutter. On the south side the extension has vertical wooden boarding with a door.

The worker's cottage built in a sober, craftsmanlike, traditional manner next to the farmhouse "Zorg en Hoop" is of general importance as a historic-functional component of the farm complex.
