Inleiding
WOONHUIS in 1892 in eclectische stijl gebouwd, naar ontwerp van J.D. Gantvoort. In het huis bevinden zich onderdelen van de Sacramentskapel van de voormalige Mariakerk.
Omschrijving
Woonhuis op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken in bak- en natuursteen over drie bouwlagen met souterrain onder een zadeldak.
De tuitgevel heeft een horizontale driedeling. De begane grond heeft een gepleisterde plint met daarin twee souterrainvensters onder segmentboog. Links een relatief smalle, deels glazen paneeldeur met rondboog bovenlicht. Rechts twee schuifvensters onder rondboog. Alle drie zijn voorzien van een gepleisterde profiellijst met een ornament in Lodewijk XV stijl. Ter hoogte van de wisseldorpels loopt een speklaag.
Op de eerste verdieping, afgescheiden door horizontale banden van siermetselwerk, een erker op consoles. In de houten erker een drielicht venster met glas-in-lood in de bovenlichten. Op de erker het balkon met houten balustrade van de tweede verdieping. Op deze verdieping een driedelige balkondeur/venster partij. Bovenlichten en kroonlijst bevinden zich op dezelfde hoogte als de band van siermetselwerk. Aan weerszijden van de vensterpartij een cartouche met links "anno" en rechts "1892".
In de blinde attiekzone zijn drie bogen gemetseld, alternerend van natuur- en baksteen. Hierboven de geveltop met rondgebogen T-vormig draaivenster met bovenmaatste sluitsteen. Aan weerszijden van het venster een muuranker van siersmeedijzer. Langs de geveleinden loopt een klimmend keperboogfries. Op de tuiten obelisken, op het tuitstuk een fronton.
Van het interieur zijn op de verdieping restanten bewaard gebleven. Op verschillende plaatsen is een zuil van de voormalige Mariakerk in zicht.

Woonhuis van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en stedenbouwkundig belang vanwege:
- de eclectische bouwstijl - de aanwezigheid van resten muurwerk en fundamenten van de Sacramentskapel - de beeldbepalende ligging tussen het Grote Kerkhof en de Nieuwe Markt

Residential house erected on a rectangular ground plan in brick and natural stone over three storeys with basement beneath a gabled roof.
The spout gable has a horizontal tripartite division. The ground floor has a rendered plinth with two basement windows within a segmental arch. On the left a relatively narrow, partly glazed panel door with round arch fanlight. On the right two sash windows with round arch. All three are provided with a rendered moulded edge with an ornament in Louis XV style. At the height of the sill stones runs a speckled course.
On the first floor, separated by horizontal bands of ornamental brickwork, a bay window on consoles. In the wooden bay window a three-light window with stained glass in the fanlights. On the bay window the balcony with wooden balustrade of the second floor. On this floor a three-part balcony door/window arrangement. Fanlights and cornice are at the same height as the band of ornamental brickwork. On either side of the window arrangement a cartouche with "anno" on the left and "1892" on the right.
In the blind attic zone three arches are brickwork, alternating natural and brick stone. Above this the gable top with rounded T-shaped sash window with oversized keystone. On either side of the window an ornamental wrought iron wall anchor. Along the gable ends runs a climbing herringbone arch frieze. On the spout obelisks, on the spout section a pediment.
From the interior remains have been preserved on the floor. At various places a column from the former Mariakerk is visible.
