Inleiding
De VILLA Huize Eendracht is in 1895 gebouwd in een eclectische bouwstijl met renaissancistische en classicistische elementen. Van dit type woonhuis bij een bollenschuur stonden er veel meer aan de Weeresteinstraat. Huize Eendracht is inmiddels het enig overgebleven voorbeeld van deze zeer bijzondere vorm van een bollenkwekersvilla.
In 1983 is het huis verbouwd tot kantoor. Daarbij is de serre aan de zuidkant doorgebroken en aan de achterkant uitgebreid. In 1990 is de serre aan de noordkant geh eel in stijl toegevoegd.
Omschrijving
De villa telt één bouwlaag en is boven een gepleisterde plint opgetrokken in rode baksteen op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een zadeldak met een wolfeind, een piron en grijze Hollandse pannen. Aan de zuidkant een grote rechthoekige serre met afgeronde hoeken onder een plat dak.
De symmetrische voorgevel is een brede halsgevel met een reliëf in het fronton, een gepleisterd fries onder het fronton en rijk geornamenteerde klauwstukken. Alle ornamenten zijn uitgev oerd in stucwerk.
Centraal in de voorgevel het ingangsportiek met daarin een paneeldeur met glas onder een bovenlicht. Aan weerszijden van het portiek pilasters met spaarvelden onder grote consoles die het balkon boven de ingang ondersteunen. Op het balkon een houten balkonhek met smeedijzeren invulling. Links en rechts van de ingang twee vensters, in de geveltop een balkondeur geflankeerd door twee vensters. De vensters zijn rechtgesloten met glas-in-lood bovenlichten onder afgesnoten hoeken. Boven de ve nsters strekken met gepleisterde aanzet- en sluitstenen. Vier korte lisenen in het hoge deel van de halsgevel net onder en in het fries. In de strekken boven de vensters, op de hoeken van de gevel, in de lisenen en aan weerszijden van de balkondeur siermetselwerk van gele baksteen.
Op de verdieping kraagt de gevel naar de zijkanten iets uit. Onder deze uitkraging en onder de klauwstukken van de halsgevel hangende ornamenten. Aan de uiteinden van het fronton en op de hoeken van de gevel kleine bollen op voetstukken.
De serre beslaat de gehele zuidelijke zijgevel en bestaat boven de gepleisterde plint uit vensters met glas-in-lood bovenlichten. In de strook boven de serre een gepleisterd fries onder een overstekende gootlijst. De noordelijke zijgevel is inmiddels op gelijke wijze vormgegeven.
In de achtergevel twee deuren met bovenlichten en vierruits vensters met en zonder bovenlichten. De gevel wordt afgesloten door een gepleisterde daklijst.
Waardering
De villa is van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurh istorische waarde als bijzonder voorbeeld van een bollenkwekersvilla.

Introduction
The VILLA Huize Eendracht was built in 1895 in an eclectic architectural style with Renaissance and Classical elements. Many examples of this type of residential house at a bulb barn once stood on Weeresteinstraat. Huize Eendracht is now the sole surviving example of this very distinctive form of a bulb grower's villa.
In 1983 the house was converted into an office. In this process the conservatory on the south side was broken through and extended to the rear. In 1990 a conservatory on the north side was entirely added in style.
Description
The villa has one storey and is built above a plastered plinth in red brickwork on a rectangular plan under a gabled roof with a half-hipped end, a roof ridge and grey Dutch tiles. On the south side a large rectangular conservatory with rounded corners under a flat roof.
The symmetrical front facade is a broad neck gable with relief in the pediment, a plastered frieze below the pediment and richly ornamented claw brackets. All ornaments are executed in stuccowork.
Centrally in the front facade the entrance portico with within it a panelled door with glass under a fanlight. On either side of the portico pilasters with spandrels below large consoles which support the balcony above the entrance. On the balcony a wooden balcony railing with wrought-iron infill. Left and right of the entrance two windows, in the gable apex a balcony door flanked by two windows. The windows are rectangular with leaded glass fanlights under cut-off corners. Above the windows stretches with plastered setting-out and closing stones. Four short pilaster strips in the tall part of the neck gable just below and in the frieze. In the stretches above the windows, at the corners of the facade, in the pilaster strips and on either side of the balcony door decorative brickwork of yellow brick.
On the upper storey the facade projects slightly outward at the sides. Below this projection and below the claw brackets of the neck gable hanging ornaments. At the ends of the pediment and at the corners of the facade small spheres on plinths.
The conservatory spans the entire southern side facade and consists above the plastered plinth of windows with leaded glass fanlights. In the stripe above the conservatory a plastered frieze below a projecting gutter moulding. The northern side facade is now formed in the same manner.
In the rear facade two doors with fanlights and four-pane windows with and without fanlights. The facade is terminated by a plastered roof cornice.
